wake up with DP in GGST so weird?
If you're down and u want to wake up with DP like in Street fighter for example it's not safe in GGST? I always get hit before DP comes out whats up with that? Wake up DP not a thing in this game?

It definitely works in the game (though I believe at least metered ones are vulnerable to throws), so if you're getting hit first, you're not getting the timing right (or the move you're trying to use isn't invincible).

For example if im Sol or Ky and im on the floor. I do 6236 S as my character is standing up I always get hit first. It's just not safe against P or K I guess?

Would standing up into reckless defense always be safe against pressuring enemy?

Those do work as wakeup DPs, so you're late if you're getting hit (you know you did it as soon as possible if "Reversal" shows up on the side of the screen). You should be aiming to press the attack button as soon as you can act after wakeup (having already done the rest of the input a bit before).

Blocking on wakeup (including potentially using Faultless Defense) should be the default when the opponent can get a hitbox on you, though of course you still have to block correctly.

reversal timing in this game is quite tight in my experience

Thanks for the info. I will use faultless defense on wake ups from now on. DP timing seems to strict for me.

OP, this is special and specific of ONLY this game, but wake up DP loses to command grab(not normal throw, do not confuse) so characters who have them:Potemkin,Nago,Sol,may, faust, can beat your wake up DP just by doing a well timed command grab after wakeup.

I'm pretty sure they lose to normal throws as well.
