What have they done to Faust...

As a guy who bought strive because of Millia's edgy theme, Ramlethal and possible Baiken appearance (it was before recent announcement), passed through the entire series to understand at least something and realized that Faust became one of my favourite characters in the process, I want to say that it's painful to see him here like that. Last time I wanted to hug a character this much was with Yuki during the Endless Eight arc

I'd like to see him in more pain. In fact I'd like them to kill him off.

They actually haven't clarified, I don't think. He makes no appearance in the story, but we're getting another story DLC in 2022, so it's possible he'll appear there and it'll be explained. It's only been two weeks since Xrd's story, so whatever it was it must've been quick and rough. I've seen people speculate it was just PTSD from remembering the girl that died, but Faust learned it wasn't his fault in Xrd (I think, might've been XX.)

I think I read before on this forum that it has to do with him wanting his sins to be accounted for after what he did when he was a serial killer or something, but I don't have a source for that claim.

YES but I also just hate the way he plays. He's like a zoner but more random and frustrating. Not fun.
