How hard is Happy Chaos to use?

Ok I'm more of a mid Casual. I played Sol and Giovanna and know some short combos. I manage to reach towerr 7 online. I tried Milia and I find her hard to use.

Now I'm liking happy chaos but I heard he's hard to use? Can you explain why? Is he squishy? need long combos? I'm happy if I can reach floor 7 with him. not really aiming for floor 10 or high level tournaments. Just want to be a decent casual for fun.

That very much depends on your own gameplan
I for example have played I-No for some time
Sat on floor 6 for multiple months and got a hang of Happy chaos fairly quickly, also going up to floor 7 again.
However, I've seen other people struggle with his inputs and combo mixing. If you have the season pass, I'd say just try him out in training or in the park to see how much he fits you

well i haven't purchased it yet, I dont' like gold lewis, I'm most interested in Happy C, Jacko seemed neat too, is Baiken going to be included in season pass 1?

Is HC as a character hard? Yes, He's the hardest character in the game atm right next to Zato in my own opinion. Mechanically hard? Sorta. He's hard because he doesn't have any strong defensive tools and dies easily. He's the type of character where one mistake can cost you the game.

However, I'd say take your players preference into consideration. If the Characters cool and you like their playstyle. Just play them. Everything will come to you in time. No matter how frustrating it can be. Just stick with it.

The season pass is 30 bucks
Characters themselves are around 6 bucks each
Just get the ones you want, if you don't need them all

Seeing some people are crazy with him in just a few days, I would say he seems easy enough to do stupid ♥♥♥♥ with.

After playing him for a while I'd say he's pretty easy combo, wallbreak, and pressure with since you can convert / start pressuring almost anything with bullets. However without resources he dies pretty easily since he has almost no defensive option

his inputs are going to feel unnatural for people who arn't used to insane anime fighters weird gimmicks but after you get over that hurdle he can be compared vaguely to Nago in the sense that he has a limited resource that lets him mostly do whatever he wants as long as he keeps himself stocked up, unlike nago he has to manage 2 seperate meters, has zero reversals, has to make space and time for himself to regain his resources, does not get a buff when he has used his resource too much, has slightly below average normals and very low health. He doesnt require much meter for his combos and generates a ton of it from his gun related tools so he atleast won't ever be without the option of using a YRC.

He's definitely difficult, youll have to put in a lot more work than the average character to be effective. Even once you learn him youll still have to work a lot harder to win a natch then your average Ramlethal/May/Gio/etc. Don't bother trying to learn him unless you really like his playstyle, otherwise you'll just get frustrated.

Not saying he's weak by the way, just that he requires some actual thought and strategy to play. Most of the characters in this game are pretty braindead in comparison so they can just go ape on you.

He is definitly learnable, takes some time. But you have to see it in relation. I play ramlethal and i can win by hitting stray hits and doing cheap corner combos/pressure, which take 5 minutes to learn. Happy chaos, in isolation, isnt that hard. But when getting matched up against those easy-good chars, it somewhat seems unfair in relation, i guess? Just my opinion tho.

I can relate, Playing Gio was ok, but when I played SoL, he was even easier. I liked Milia's Design but I find her hard to play. I guess I'll wait for a sale or something. Happy Chaos theme is such a banger tho.

He is extremely hard. Don't expect to get a handle on him in a few hours.

I definitely wouldn't say he's extremely hard, just harder in relation to most of the roster. A lot of people think that just because a character has a lot of difficult tech and hard inputs/combos, you have to use them all to be successful. That's just not true, you can play Axl at high level without ever doing a single TK Bomber for example. Less complicated and intricate combos are typically less optimal but they also tend to be more reliable. It just depends on how hard you want to go, brother.

Also Gio is definitely easier than Sol, what the ♥♥♥♥ are you smoking lmao
