and i don't see any reason why Strive shouldn't support Keyboard like any older game
But at the end of the day it is a matter of preference, but I would highly recommend using Keyboard first to see if you like it.
Today, I prefer my custom stickless (HitBox like) controller.

Things might change with -STRIVE-, but I figure most of it ought be applicable.
I haven't played GG with a keyboard but I have played some other fighting games with a keyboard before and the controls are usually pretty simple. Arrow keys to move, asd, zxc for your buttons. It's easy enough to get used to.
The only thing I can tell is that in previous games (GGXXAC+R) I had no big troubles with keyboard, and I can execute pretty much any moves or combos after training for it for appropriate time. But you have to make sure that your keyboard have anti-ghosting feature, so that it is actually possible to press more than 3 buttons at the same time.
You could still try it, though; I'd be pleasantly surprised if it did work.
Keyboard is pretty much a Hitbox controller with more buttons, and Hitbox is one of the best, if not THE best controllers for fighting games.
Never tried it.
