"Messiah Will Not Come" achievment

You have to beat the super strong nago boss at the end of arcade mode

Don’t lose a single round in Arcade mode and beat the final Nago boss by sending him into a corner and spamming a throw every time he wakes up.

"Messiah Will Not Come" is in Arcade Mode if you managed to reach Nago on Route Extreme and defeat him, without losing a round. You'll get to stage 9, which is Nago again, but permanently on Blood Rage and buffed up HP / damage.

Some people have different approaches how to beat Nago on Stage 8/9, like Soap Surgeon putting Nago into the corner and spam throw, which can work, but for example didn't worked out for me, as Nago decided to spam his Shizuriyuki (invincible double slash).

I for example always threw him and just backed off (walked backwards), usually Nago would f.S -> Fukyo and made it possible to throw him again. Did it 4 times and he was stunned and best case in a corner, so I could do overdrive + wallbreak for huge damage.

Sometimes it happened he 2S -> Kamuriyuki (sliding whirlwind slash) into combo,
or sometimes he decided to f.S -> Fukyu -> Fukyu behind me and punish it with a long range S / HS attack,
Rarely it happened he would f.S -> Fukyu -> Shizuriyuki,
and extremely rarely it would happen he would f.S -> Fukyu -> Bloodsucking Universe (command grab).

Took me 3 friggin hours of trying to beat Stage 9 Nago. I do not recommend the experience. :P

I personally abused his poor reactions to Leo's shield counter which usually allowed me to quickly push him into corner and do a wall break combo. Kept repeating that until RNG made Nago fall for this enough times in a row.

Also fun fact, you can lose and repeat Stage 8 Nago as many times as you want, as long as the time you win is without losing a round, it will let you go to Stage 9.

Just got it. Killed him on the 23th try on Gio. My best advice is try to put him in a corner, break the wall with a Super to get the best knock down you can. Repeat. The key is to find something to frame trap him after you finish your string on block. If he use faultless defense during your string chill and let him do is thing, find an opening and go on the offensive again, if you are pushed too far he'll generally DP.

honestly I got it by accident just playing arcade for fun a few times to try out different characters, not sure why its so rare, considering that sometimes nago's AI just refuses to do anything so you can just spam throws and command grabs on him, only once did his AI actually beat me, and it was normal route at that.

I checked and no, you don't have the achievement so my guess is you mixed it up with Stage 8 Nago, who is far easier.
