no downranks

I've literally played over 100 matches and won 9. I am still on floor 4 and i am just not getting downranked...

How is this happening?

Wouldn't you want to move down in their situation though? I mean from op's post it seems like they'd rather be put on a floor where they can fight people without getting wrecked.

I lost a bunch earlier too, and I never got kicked down either kinda weird. Then I started winning a lot and I saw an arrow up in the right corner next to my picture so I thought I was moving up a floor, but I never moved up. Not really sure how this ranking system works honestly.

I started on floor 7 from my first game... lost 30 in a row, didn't move down. I'm having so much fun learning nothing. :')

the thing is: I am realizing that i'm getting better. But by not getting moved down, it means i am literally never winning.

I mean, learning is fun, but i'd like to win some rounds at least.

The game ranks you up with the tutorial based on your skill on that level. The reason why it is important to not downgrade after being lvl 5+ in the tower is because some people would be able to lose intentionally to smurf and trash other people with less skill just because. You still can downgrade from the tower on highest levels, but it seems if you past lvl 5 you're stuck there.

you can do it!! meanwhile you don't lose the spirit of learning and grow, getting better, you can always add people, ask for combos, search for frame data, join discords, don't be discouraged. practice makes better <3

You shouldn't worry too much about it, at every floor there is a huge level gap inside the floor itself

I'm not sure if it's because it takes a while for the game to adjust your rating correctly or simply because it's actually pretty lenient

Even from Celestial they could easily add 10 more floors considering the difference between the "weakest" and best players
But at some point it's more important to get games going or it ends up lonely at the top

Got downranked twice. Not it's just not happening. Like somebody said, it seems that below floor 5 it is incredibly hard to downrank.

I started from floor 7 or something, have been down to 4 and currently are jumping between 4 and 5 occasionally with win or lose streaks. Oh, and right now I might rank up to 6 soon if I keep my winning streak.

So it's working fine for me, a shame that it seems broken for you

Everyone seems to land on Floor 6-7 for initial placement. The game seems to know what tactics you're using and will place you based on that more than wins or losses.

I go up and down between celestial, 10, and 9 all the time, you can definitely de-rank.

I've ranked 6, then downranked to 5, ranked up to 7, downranked to 6, and ranked back to 7, in 100 matches. I think ranking is jumping up and down a lot in your first games, and slows down later on.
So I think you're doing better than you think. And even if you lose, you don't lose bad enough.
