"Download Retry", can't connect to the game

okay, so i'm stuck to the main screen with the message "Communicating with server" and eventually this message "Download rety [1], [0]" pops... It's been like 40 minutes.

Anyone can help?

At least i know im not the only one, probably SA servers failing to connect or something? tbh i dont know how the connection to the main servers work, but lets hope it gets fixed asap

The issue still persists with me, i have some friends from SA that are able to connect. That's frustrating lol

Same here. At first it popped a message about trying to upload the R-code and after that an error. Then only the download retry small pop up.

Can't connect at the moment, been trying it for over 20 min now and still can't join any server.

Bumping this thread: error just started happening to me, I am also from SA. My friend just told me this has been happening to him for a couple months at night and that he has to play in the afternoon if he wants to play.

My guess? Arksys subcontracted servers from some latin american company who is doing a very bad job at being relays to connect to their main servers.

Here's how to solve it!
1.- Acknowledge there's an issue.
2.- Tell players you'll look into it.
3.- Actually do that.
4.- If it's what I said, just hire a different service provider.
5.- ????
6.- Profit. Literally.

i've been not playing this last months, but the issue got solved to me using a VPN (Japan)... i got no issues with latency using it.

I fixed my problem by using a different router, just plug and play. The router I previously had was apparently not compatible with the isp, even though it listed as compatible on the box. The router worked fine except with the p2p handshaking, was hit or miss.
