because they think lvl = skill and they dont want their butts delivered in a plate for you to enjoy as much as you want
For the first 2 months of Strive, I loved playing against high level players and learn a lot of stuff about their characters and mine. I was totally ok with fighting lvl 1500+ players in Celestial when I was just lvl 100. But come August life got busy for me and I stopped playing for a whole month. Now I'm playing again, but I'm not as invested I was during the first 2 months because I'm busy now, and I just prefer to play casual in lower celestial or floor 10.
Plus some classes just arent as competitive at super high levels pve or pvp......
This is the worst take ever.
If your playing casualy then you wouldnt care if you win or lose you would only really care about people being obnoxious.
This is not the case for people who dodge matchups/level, they are playing to "win" in the short term.
Also how do you play without learning, I cant really think of a tos safe reason you would black out and forget everything so you never learn. However you would do it, tos safe or not, its probably isnt healthy any way.
Yeah, getting your ass handed is fun too. I learned pot without lowering my floor from celestial. Took all the loses and got proud of my wins.
100% agree they should at least let lower level players buy raid gear off the auction house, that would at least level the playing field partially in pvp.
Add in a basic % hp/dmg increase for lower level characters when they enter and it would help the power difference alot. Maybe then people would actually play arena or battle grounds.
Unless you make it a point to devote considerable time to the game, and I'm talking time that most people don't have especially if they have families or domestic responsibilities, then it really becomes a waste of time to challenge someone like that.
Although if it's a straight up massacre and i'm thinking they aren't gonna learn anything, i do abort myself
The only obnoxious ones are those who snatch a win from you, quit and t-bag
But there's extremely few of them, and they're not worth the time i just took to mention them
And on the other side of the spectrum, i'm glad 2M+ wanted players are willing to go on for 10+ bouts because they will show you tech you'll never see anywhere else than in 0.1% of the playerbase
Social medias as usual could fool you, but In general i really like the online community, solid fighting and learning spirit, and hope it stays that way
It gets ridiculous most people avoid me when i use my main. But 100% will fight my level 100 pot
