I just finished it and frankly it's nice. Apart from the fact that the monsters respawn on your area, it is very frustrating.

Now, I also felt in a The Thing + Penumbra Overture style.

The game is really fun to play ends an 1 hour but I didn't notice a bug and that's, it's rare. Only the respawn problem of monster and the fact that they're supposed to be blind but they can detect you even without moving makes things frustrating.

If you explore the first room in the second area of the game you'll find VHS tapes of The Thing and Aliens.

I knew it! Not about the VHS-Tapes but the influences:steamhappy:! Also the real Antarctica keeps a long tradition of eerie tales and secrets. From Edgar Alan Poe to H.P.Lovecraft to Admiral Byrd's "Operation High Jump",2 RE:makes of The Thing or the Grindcore/Metal Band GWAR XD!
GWAR claims they crashlanded their Spaceship many thousand years ago somewhere in Antarctica:steammocking:,nice Band but live better than on CD I guess?

Well I confess normally I prefer R-rated/mature games age restriction 18 years with blood, gore etc and not so much exploring stuff. But yes Penumbra etc have a great atmosphere sure:steamhappy: and creepy elements. For example Hellblade-Senuas Sacrifice has a good atmosphere.

Well "Who goes there?" is the Original Source than? The very first movie was released in 1951 as a Black/White-Movie.1982 came John Carpenter's The Thing(awesome!) and in 2011(?) the 2nd RE:Make(also nice to me xd)about the first Expedition what starts when they shoot the infected "dog".

Yes, Who Goes There? by John W. Campbell is the originator.

Me, yes. I love so much Penumbra Overture, Black Plague, Amnesia The Dark Descend and Soma. Requiem and machine for pigs are less good.

Frictional games figured out how to make stressful horror games, they are masters

Outlast 1 was very good too but not quite the same thing. Outlast 2, I didn't like it, it was not terrible

I can't wait to play the new Amnesia "Rebirth"

Outlast 1 huh? Well Outlast 1 is alright and I like Eldervale too(creepy!) but in those games I am defenseless:steamfacepalm:! I must run for my life without any weapons as it seems? I normally prefer DooM and such games because I have a whole arsenal full of weapons and can take down lots of Monsters,Demons,Zombies etc.

Yes, Outlast. It's not a game of Frictional games but it's a great scary game like Alien Isolation

Doom, it's just action and shot. Here I was talking about horror games that make panic but I understand.

You could fight in Eldervale and you get more weapons as the game goes along. It's a really good one!

I'm enjoying the game, so far. Stuck at the collapsed bridge and needing to clear the blockage, but "F" does nothing. Anyone have advice? Also, it this abandoned? Seems like Devs aren't responding.
