Recycling Mechanics (Asteroid Research Bots)

After doing my second play through I managed to get planetary research bots, but I don't really like the mechanic.

Ship producers check how many research stations you have and then it creates bots for those stations. The only way I can get excess bots is to overproduce the asteroid research bots, but the production says it won't produce unless there are free research slots. So, basically I managed to fix the problem (sort of) but I have no idea how I did it.

It would be nice if we could just create a ship builder and have it export research bots directly to the recycler, or to research. Maybe have a check box that says that output can be directed to a recycler. That way I can ensure a steady supply of asteroid research bots to recycle which will make building planetary research bots a bit more reliable.

Did you try creating a ship yard? Ship yards should hold extra ships. Be sure to set the "request specific units" filter and set to planetary research bots. If this isn't working, please file a bug report on the discord and attach your save so we can fix it!
