I never thought about using the down aerial since I got it way later. It would be more efficient to use that attack and save the supers for other things. I would just need to practice that attack though.
EDIT - Realized some of this post didn't make sense since starting a new game is starting it from scratch.
I may have happened to learn that if you got the combo extender from the shop, the pirate will no longer be findable in the Marsh. I'll need to a do a regular new game to find the pirate as long as I don't buy the combo extender from the shop next time.
I'm basing my info from this guide here:

Hey there! Glad to see you're exploring the game and trying to help out others in the process. I gave you a profile award for your contribution to this game's Steam community
I'm actually working on two more guides: one for all achievements, and another specifically for the Completionist achievement. They're full of details and plenty of screenshots, and I plan on having them published either by the end of this month or the beginning of next.
If you still feel like sharing what you've learned in this topic, I totally understand. I'm definitely not trying to discourage you
But if you're willing to wait a bit longer, there will finally be some resources available for you and other players to refer to in your attempt to platinum the game.
Lastly, if you want the lowdown on the achievements ASAP, feel free to add me, and I can answer any questions you have.
Regardless, I'm pleased to see more people playing this game, and I wish you luck in getting all the achievements!
Hey thank you for the award and thank you for taking the time to compile/do both walkthroughs and achievement guides. If by chance if any of the info in this thread is of use to you, feel free to incorporate them and if there was any info that's wrong, I'd appreciate any corrected info in your future guides.
Some of the info I had was based on what happened as I've played, but I don't know if everything is optimal or if the timing is off (like points of no return). I just wanted to get some info out to give some players a starting point since prior-wise any info was hard to come by for stuck players.
I saw that you got all achievements of the game. Can you help me with the "Faith in humanity restored" achievement? What does the player have to do for it?
Wow, I feel a bit embarrassed after reading my last post. I said I was going to finish the guides in a month or two, but here I am publishing my Completionist guide over a year later!

Long story short, I got preoccupied with and distracted by life in general...*cough* and other games *cough*. But at least I finally delivered, right?
Hopefully I'll utilize the momentum I've built up and finish off the achievement guide in November. I don't think my predictions carry much weight anymore, but I'll try and stick to them this time around.
Anyway, apologies for the gargantuan delay!
Topo
Sorry I didn't get back to you until now. Thankfully, it looks like you didn't need my help and handled it all on your own. Well done!
