Will the Mega Drive ROM be included in the purchase?

The dev of Tanglewood did us all a solid by including the original Mega Drive ROM with the purchase so that everyone could use it with their emulator of choice or a flash cartridge and original hardware. Could you please do the same?

looks like Rom is included in the game folder and the base of this game.

yes is the rom file. only works on BlastEm currently. needs to be altered. header needs to be changed and one byte removed. no flashcard works cause of the big size of the game, this needs a new Mapper. infos on this on some Twitter Threads with the devs.

No, Steam Support doesn't care if that e-word doesn't go with p-word. They are very prompt.

You can pull the rom out of the steam folder and play it on a Mega SD or Mega Everdrive Pro, both of them released firmware with compatibility for the game.

For those wondering, it works with the Genesis core of MiSTer FPGA. Mind you, it takes a few seconds to load since it's 15MB ROM file.

Could I simply put the ROM into retroarch and play it? Any word on if the same is true for Astebros sequel from same dev?

Toaster-Oven, it does work in Retroarch but you have to make a small change to the header of the ROM. Use the app HxD, open the ROM, and at the beginning of the ROM, change "SEGA DOA" to "SEGA SSF" and save. I've played it on multiple emulation devices such the Anbernic RG552 using Retroarch. It works fine. I do notice some oddities from time to time doing a load state. That could be more do to the fact that it is a 15MB file though.
