CONTROLLER ANALOG STICK FIX

You know how the stick acts like an AWSD on a keyboard? Yeah, this fixes that!
You might need Notepad++ for this.

Go to:
C:\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Roaming\SEGA\Steam\P5S
(AppData needs to be unhidden to show)

There will be a config file in there. Open that up and near the bottom you will find options that look similar to the settings in the game.

Go down to where it says:
<StickS>4</StickS>

Then raise it to a number above 4.
This is the same gamepad sensitivity slider as in the game!
Up to 5 or 6 is pretty alright and there's no difference afterwards. (I even put 360 as a joke) Characters still lightly snap but you get so much more smooth rotation after this!

A problem is that this raises the hell out of the deadzone on both sticks in the game.
Use Steam Input and open up the stick settings then go into additional settings.
Set the left stick like a quarter of the way while the right stick will need about halfway up the bar.

Save the file and then start the game. Don't touch the gamepad slider in-game as it will reset the number in the config.

I had a tough time wanting to play this lovely game because of this issue but i'm so glad I found this workaround! Finally I can enjoy the game where both sticks don't feel like playing on a keyboard!

Same. I'm astonished this hasn't been fixed yet. This workaround is alright, but at least it's far more playable than just 8 snappy directions on a joystick.

I really want to try your workaround but I am only doing properly the step of the config file.
