He's uh... level 9. He'd be lucky to not run out of SP healing a papercut.
Also buff spam of that level devours SP unless you're not using spells offensively to create openings.
He is not supposed to fight bear or any other high-level strong shadows in the first place then. As I said he should get levels and gear first, like 45 - 55 and stuff from Sophie and invest into proper stuff from Bonds Menu, like Buff / Debuff duration and HP / SP boost. The reason why I suggest such build is because it works well and helps avoiding situations where your team mates get insta-killed on higher difficulties while also speeds up the process because the shadow has reduced armor while you and your team mates have increased attack damage.
As for how to fight them, try to have at least 2 teammember that can stike its weakness. Use persona skills only to interupt shadows attacks by stiking its weakness and smashing shield icon bellow its health bar, everytime you destoy 1 shield you stun the enemy, When you run out of sp, switch to other party member that can exploit weakness. When you run out of sp with second party member, restore it with cooked food (bond skill that increases item stenght helps a lot).
The dire ones are different from the request ones, they also drop god-tier accessories for stat boosts.
