was going to give mine to atlus/sega, since they rejected it using this Denuvo Malware,
i decided to give my money to something else that has no-denuvo.
at least i don't have to worry about reducing & handi-capping my game-play quality.
In the meantime: DENUVO = NOT BUY for me too
P4G sold well enough without it
Ya sadly it hasn't happened on the previous persona release. So sadly neither of them will get my money.I don't get why they don't patch it out down the line. I'd actually be ok with time Denuvo because I'm all for compromise, but lets be real this will be cracked shortly after launch and yet Denuvo will likely sit in it for it's life leaving paying consumers with an inferior copy.
Basically nothing. It's a DRM, but so is Steam.
In some very rare cases, it decreases performance (when it's badly implemented). But the vast majority of people complaining about it don't focus on that.
They complain that it's a DRM that requires you to be constantly online (which is partly false) and that the day the Denuvo servers go down, people won't be able to play Denuvo games anymore (which is plain dumb).
Thing is, it's the exact same thing with Steam. You have to be online to install games, and if Steam's servers ever shut down we can all kiss our libraries goodbye.
Really, all these anti-denuvo sheep are just a bunch of hypocrites trying to sound edgy but failing to realise how stupid they sound.
Because you'd have to be a major idiot to believe that, if Denuvo ever goes down, they won't release a patch or something to remove the DRM so we can still play the games we bought.
You are missing the point entirely. It is not *only* that it is a DRM, sometimes requires internet connection and you will lose your game if the server ever shuts down
It is that Denuvo is completely unnecessary.
Sure it makes it harder to download illegally for some days, but after than that pirates will forever have a superior version than you who have bought the game
Even if thats not the case, why would I be in favour of having some artificial restrictions in some games, like the ones you already mention? By the way, it is proved that Denuvo decreases performance, even if it is only a bit, why should I (or you) accept that?

Sure you can argue that you have played Denuvo games and you have yet to notice performace errors. The questions is if those games would run even better without Denuvo, answer is yes. You are paying the game, you deserve the best version, pirates doesnt
Feel free to spend your money in what you please, I will do the same, but please do not call me "major idiot" just because you dont understand (or care) about my reasons.
Did you actually read my post? The "major idiots" are those who believe that when Denuvo goes down, all the games using Denuvo won't be playable anymore. Which you have to admit is idiotic.
Believe it or not I share your point of view that Denuvo is anti-consumer and only ends up hurting the players who purchase the game. But I'm not naive enough to think publishers even remotely care about the games they're selling or the people who play them. They only care about making the most money out of the product, and they're the ones pushing Denuvo and other DRM, because the way they see it, a pirated copy = a loss. Which is idiotic as well, and has been proven false many times. As much as I hate it, I understand their reasoning.
But reading things like "I was interested in this game until I learned it had Denuvo" or "Denuvo = no buy" just makes me cringe. Especially when it's on Steam, which is just another DRM.
I apologise. I actually wanted to refer to "bunch of hypocrites failing to realise how stupid they sound" line, honestly I don't really care. I don't see the need to insult anyone.
Then we agree, the difference is that you see it as a lost battle (probably it is, who knows) and you still say there's "basically nothing" bad about denuvo
Neither am I, that is why I refuse to buy a game with these policies. It's the only message I can send that, maybe, they care to hear
