Great game
Hi, just wanted to say how much I enjoy this game. I am currently on vacation with my Steam Deck (and my family :) ) and was looking for a rogue lite that was a bit off the cuff. Found this gem here on sale and as a horror fan I was immediately intrigued. Last night I started playing in earnest - drained the battery all the way to the end and can't wait to play again tonight.

A quick summary of what I like so much: first off the music. This soundtrack is A M A Z I N G. Especially past the first stage there is a really nice mix of synth wave, industrial soundscapes and tense electronic music. Reminds me a bit of early electronic Ulver.

Second: the game play and party system. Took me a good hour or so to understand (plus a fresh restart) but once I understood how all the systems work, how the weapon type and scaling work, how the different classes synergize ... This is really, really good! Now, I|m not someone who spends hundreds of hours abusing some kind of meta game, so it could well be that the balancing is broken down the line, but right now I don't care because it's all so interesting. :)

Third graphics and atmosphere: I mentioned the soundtrack already but graphics are also pretty neat, in particular during the combat. Exploration at first didn't look so great to me, but once the enemies start roaming around a bit, it get's the vibe across perfectly well too.

If I had to complain about one thing it would be the gamepad controls. After playing the first hour on the deck using the Gamepad config, I found it was sometimes a bit too cumbersome to navigate the menus because it is somewhat difficult to see which control element (i.e. button) is currently active. But switching to a Keyboard + Mouse emulation profile on the deck makes it work just fine with the track pad acting as the mouse and some useful keyboard shortcuts (e.g. Alt for switching to Conserve) on the back buttons.

Anyway, thanks to the developer to put so much work into this. It really shows how passionate you are about this project. Looking forward to spending more time with it and see whatever you will come up with next.

Thank you very much for your kind words and feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed the game so far, really happy to hear it!

I'm aware that the controller support isn't the best. I've been planning to re-do the default bindings and overhaul the gamepad support, but couldn't find the time yet. This is up in the list of tasks for sure. I'm glad you found a good enough configuration for now. Hoping to officially support a better configuration.
