Mechanically, it's been a lot more immersive (and arguably enjoyable) to hold down the button if the character is struggling to pull the weed out anyways, though I'm really glad there's an option for 'tap' for people that don't want this or people that have trouble doing so for any number of reasons.
I wouldn't have even noticed this option had I not been looking into adjusting a few other options already.
I think it's very important to explain photo mode a bit more. It's okay if the photo mode is just there for manual screenshots, I guess - but it was super confusing! I kept trying to find out how to 'click the camera' when that didn't exist. I think it would be better if there was text to explain that it's not an in-game camera, only in-game posing.
2. Please make moving your character NOT like Steering a boat. (using keyboard) The character feels super top heavy and not very responsive if you turn you have to run in a tiny circle instead of just pivoting immediately. It makes aiming your watering can tedious as heck.
3. When you claim a reward from your book it forces you to just stare at it for way to long let us just hit esc or something to move on from there. It kills the pacing of the game for me.
4. Small point, but it would help to put the number of the keys on your hotbar just to help people remember which key it is.
5. The possible actions ie: "E to Interact" etc.. are very far down and to the right and out of view on a widescreen monitor, please put them either on the cursor or close to the center of the screen.
Otherwise, guys this game looks like a GEM. The Writing is FANTASTIC. The dialog is actually hilarious and enjoyable most of the time, especially anything having to do with those everkin. The writing along will keep me recommending and playing this game. I will edit this post as I find more suggestions. Thanks!
Pretty sure you can, did you try clicking on the keybind and pressing a number?
I'm doing fine with WASD and the mouse up until the bug catching part.... any way to get an optional remap for the bug hunt key so you can sneak and move without having to hold mb?
