Crashing when using the book to claim

So, I played the game for quite a long time today, finished 6 quests and on the last one the game crashed (it was still animating the page but I couldn't click anything).

So I took a break and came back to it again just now, was on the same day, claimed 5 quests and it worked fine....then I went up the tree and I finished the first animals rub belly/play thing.....so I did the selfie thing and then adopted it.

Went back to the book to claim those quests/missions....and on the last one....it crashed again.

So....can I just never claim anything again cause it will constantly just crash/freeze?

Yeah, just redid the whole day, went back to town to claim the "adopt a critter" and the game just froze yet again =/

Hey, just hit this bug myself, it is the adopt a critter claim that causes it,
easy fix is to finish another quest after finishing the adopt a critter bug quest then claim them!
Hope this works havent tried it myself yet

I actually didn't claim them that day, waited until the next day and claimed all, seemed to work for now.

I had the same problem after adopting first animal but when i changed screen setting from fullscreen to borderless it worked to claim.

Changing to borderless didn't seem to help me, but I'll see what happens if I can get another quest finished first, then claim all. Already reported it on their form and joined their discord just in case, sooooo...fingers crossed.

I DID IT! I took a selfie with a critter, which completed another quest. I went into the book, claimed the "Greener Pastures" quest, then the "Heart Reacts Only" quest, and BAM, no freezing!

I had this exact issue, just replayed the day and tried to claim another reward first as which apparently is the workaround for now. Then a different reward froze me out instead :( Hoping this gets patched soon but in the meantime I'm going to be hard saving right before claiming rewards to save me the headache.

I've had the adopt a critter reward freeze the game when I tried to return to the game as well. I started the game up and tried again, didn't freeze that time. It did freeze after I claimed the "50 things turned to essence" reward. No clue why it'd only start doing so after I claimed like 100 other rewards before then.

Not sure, but I think until they figure it out it's like Ninja said, just save before you go to redeem something just in case.

This is still an issue, I have had the game lock up twice on trying to claim a reward like the Heart Reacts Only one, and it will not let you claim it or back out of the book so you have to force close the game and lose your progress. Good tip on completing other quests first to claim in a different order, just make sure you save first.

Just had this bug myself. Also I had a freeze claiming another quest so I recommend to save your game before claiming

my games doing this also when i go to take the 'take a selfie with a critter' thing it's a pain and pretty irritaitng.. least now i see it's not just me having the issue

going borderless window worked here but im just waiting for the crash.

Just happened here as well. I was already playing in borderless mode, so that didn't seem to solve the issue.

I had this happen once but was lucky and when I started back up it claimed and didn't crash on that second try and has been fine since.
