Guide for New Players
1. Follow the tutorial to get used to the basic mechanics and acquire precious information. As you learn new things, you can go through them in your logbook, which you can find in the pause menu by pressing ESC. You can always decide to skip the tutorial by turning it off from the gameplay settings. ⌨️

2. Stones. You find stones on the ground, but don't miss out on the stone deposits! If you craft a pickaxe, you can then mine the deposit and gather more stones. Remember you can always dismantle a tool to get some of its resources back. ⛏️

3. To dismantle an item that you are carrying in your inventory, simply select it and press the DISMANTLE button under its image on the right.

4. All resource nodes and plant life grow back, so don't worry if you cut down your favorite plant, it will be back in a few in-game days! Look out for clay, stone, metal, and sulfur nodes!

5. Always remember fruit grows faster than the whole tree, if you cut one down you have to wait longer for it to grow back and bear fruit. Stay kind to the plants and they will reward you with a snack! 🍌 🥭 🍈 🥥

6. Save the game using a shelter or wooden bed. The game doesn't autosave, so you'll have to save often and organize your excursions according to this. Remember: at the moment the game only allows for one saved game at a time. 💽

7. Animals traveling through the desert will be heading towards an oasis, if you follow them they can lead you to water! And if you already are in an oasis, you can hunt them to get food and leather. 🏹

8. Camels must be fed twice before being your friend. Feed them once, after a while you can feed them once again and they will be your new companion! Don't forget to keep them fed or they will leave you! 🐪 You can ride these curvy friends once tamed without a saddlebag, but a saddlebag will add extra inventory space for your journeys!

9. To feed a camel you must have a bit of fruit in your inventory, go to their mouth and click r, no need to hold the fruit in your hands! Food includes any fruit but remember coconuts must be cut to feed them. 🥥

10. Coconuts are a sand runner's best friend! You can stack 20 at a time. To drink this green bowling ball you must first remove the husk by hitting with your ax, sword, or knife and you will have coconut water to drink. Once drunk you can drop it on the ground and hit again to eat the remains. Also, they can be used to craft a few helpful items! Great source of food and water (also camel friendly). 🥥

11. To build walls, ladders, traps, placable torches, etc., craft a hammer in the tool tab of the crating menus; with it equipped, right-click to bring up the building dial, then left-click on the desired item.
All placeable items and some building pieces like the foundation can be rotated with the arrow keys. Pair this with your character movement you can perfect those fine placements! 🛠️

12. To get cloth first cut down a canapa plant to get raw hemp. Then craft a loom and place it, open your crafting menu in close proximity of the loom and you will be able to craft cloth. With several pieces of cloth, you can craft some clothing. 🌿

13. Navigation! Key to finding your way is making markers and placing them, this will show your location on the map with an arrow. Remember: markers can be blown away in sandstorms! When at a key location you can mark your map with an icon so it stays forever. You can dismantle the marker after use to save resources. 🗺️

14. Navigation part 2! You can align yourself to the map by temporarily placing a marker. This will show you which way you are facing. Look out for key locations as they can help you navigate. Also, you can place turrets on high spots to be able to see them from afar and mark the map. Sandstorms do not remove turrets! 🗼

15. Scolomorphs 🐛 will never stop coming after you. Destroy that alien so it will never bug you again! You can jump in the water, climb a tree, or get up high and they will dig underground, waiting for you! Once they located you, their number will increase every day. Change location and they'll have to find you again, keeping their number from growing too quickly.

16. You can stack 5 spears which are perfect for throwing! Hold right-click to aim and left-click to throw; they do more damage compared to arrows, a perfect alternative to dealing with unwanted pests.

17. You can shoot flaming arrows, they deal more damage and provide light to areas also. All you have to do is equip a bow, with an arrow in it, then without aiming put the arrow on a torch that's placed on a wall or a fireplace, and congrats! You are firing away. 🏹

18. Mortar. In order to use a mortar, you must place it on the ground and just stand close to it to craft the item that requires mortar and pestle. It's just the same as the loom basically.
