Crash Bandicoot™ 4: It’s About Time

Crash Bandicoot™ 4: It’s About Time

Crash 5 cancelled due to low sales
What did you expect ? Its not available for sale in many countries including korea .
According to Robertson, the development of Crash 5 was canceled early in development due to what was considered "underwhelming sales" for Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time. Former Toys for Bob designer Tony Schadt revealed that Crash 4's sales were a bit better than expected, crossing five million units, and that it was financially successful. However, these figures didn't please Activision enough, which resulted in Crash 5 being canceled. Following this, Toys For Bob was thrown to work on supporting its live service titles, like Overwatch 2 and Call of Duty: Warzone.

Activision doesn't give a ♥♥♥♥ about Crash Bandicoot, let's hope XBox does.

Activision is pure greed, why does it matter if you didn't get a buttload of money from the game as long as they are profiting off it? Personally I don't care if a Crash 5 happens or not but if Toys for Bob wanted to make another sequel, I say they should be allowed to as they seem very passionate with what they are making and have made some quality games (even if this game has problems with filler and repetitive content but aside from that this game is perfect in my eyes)

They were expecting Call of Duty numbers.

5m is good for a platformer, and definitely should've been profitable. Just not profitable enough. Hopefully now the IP is owned by Microsoft it'll be revisited though.
I hope the success and GOTY awarded Astro Bot is enough to convince Activision/Xbox game studios to make more Crash or Spyro games... Because some of us are still waiting for that rumored Spyro 4.
Another reason I hate Activision.
Please allow Toys for Bob to make another Crash game.

Me too, but I hated Activision for ruining Skylanders and not caring about them.
As for Crash, they shouldn't have touched the franchise in the first place. Crash should be made by Epic Games or anyone but Activision in my opinion.

Like Activision didn't care about Skylanders, but I hope XBOX does because there were articles back in 2023 where Microsoft considered rebooting Guitar Hero and Skylanders.

I don't think Crash 5 will ever happen anytime soon, but I don't like Activision because of what they did to Skylanders.

Activision should do like Ubisoft and release the licenses that do not bring in money and leave them in the hands of XBOX, which will leave them in the hands of Toys for BoB or others.
The only reason why Activision did Crash in the first place was because they deliberately ruined Skylanders.
What do you expect when its release was staggered over 2 years and the PC version was exclusively on Battle.net and required an always-on connection? It's a surprise the game was in the green after 2 years.
