SteamDeck Requires GE-Proton7-37

The game will not go past the title screen unless you use Proton GE-Proton7-37.

If you're unfamiliar and need a guide:

Press the Power Button

Go to Desktop

Open the Discover application to download a new FlatPak

Download ProtonUp-Qt from Discover

Open ProtonUp-Qt

Click "Add Version"

Make sure Compatibility Tool is set to GE-Proton

In Version, select: Proton GE-Proton7-37 (newest version)

Click Install and wait for the progress bar to finish. Should see GE-Proton7-37 in your list of Installed Compatibility Tools after installing.

Go back to Gaming Mode, go to Crash 4's options with the Gear Icon next to the game controller icon, click Properties

Choose Compatibility and then choose Proton GE-Proton7-37

Cutscenes should work and you shouldn't see any crashes besides the bandicoots.

you will get past the screens without GE it just takes time or the movie skip mod but load screens are funky
but yeah GE works way better

Can confirm this works. The game seems to run on normal also but vids are bugged so worth using GE.
