many questions, but I try to answer them one by one :D
1. There is no promotional/additional content on any platform. There was none, and none is planned in any kind of way. So, buying the game here on Steam, or on Switch, when it will release, will get you everything you need to save the world and defeat VEGA Corp. and its evil Director Zarog.
2. Nope, nothing secretly hidden, as such the game is quite straight forward!
3. Content-wise, as already mentioned, Yes. However, so far, I have no details, if there will be achievements on the Switch version. So stay tuned on those.
4. No, as this is the first video game by Loomiarts & Fehorama Filmes.
5. I really dunno, but be assured, it will not have a Mature Rating or above. :)
6. You can select the difficulty and also get back to missions completed, if you have not achieved 3-stars in certain missions and/or increase difficulty. Additionally, the game offers a coop-mode here on Steam. If you need help, invite a fellow pilot.
Please be aware, the game is already fully released here on Steam and you can already dive into it!
I hope this helps.
Have fun and enjoy!
-cheers
3. The content is almost all the same on all platforms, but unfortunately, there are no achievements on Switch. Also, I would like to point that, due technical issues, the leaderboards will not be available at launch on Switch, but will be available in a future update (it should be very soon; and any score achieved before the update will be uploaded later). Also, because of the hardware limitations, Switch will run at locked 30 FPS instead of 60 FPS on PC, Xbox and PS4 (when they arrive). It may not feel as good if you already played on PC and it is used to, but players who tested the game only on Switch think it works fine this way.
6. It's not actually the difficulty you can select; instead, there are assistance settings, including infinite lives. But overall, our players seem to think the difficulty is "fair". Like, hard, but not as hard as many other games in the genre, since you receive a lot of power ups and upgrades to help you the more you play. And you can restart the game from the last level unlocked, it's not needed to play it all from the beginning.
I admit it is not easy to get 1,000,000 points and it is the hardest achievement, but it was made mainly for the Resistance Mode (where you play consecutive loops with increasing difficulty and it is possible to get 1,000,000 points in one round of five loops).
And, by extent, help inform my decision on which version (or versions) are best for me.
