Good game... But...
Heyo.
- I've played many of Merlandese's previous games: Fleuret blanc, Last word, and another game whose name I dont recall now.
"Fleuret blanc" specially is a work of art, and I will alwas remember it. Great writing/storytelling, and soundtracks. I think I cried at the time a bit, at the end, IIRC. A real/true masterpiece. Great stories, fun battle system, and so on.
- In regards to this game: The game is good. Has very good narrative/writing, normal from this author, who is awesome at this. Everything makes sense, and is interesting to read. The way days pass reminds me of Fleuret blanc, forcing you to make choices, as to how to pass the time, as its limited. Also the endings to each story often surprise the player, totally unexpected. I still have to replay the game to finish some of them well. I like that there were characters of all ages and personalities though, tired of full teenager/kid characters in videogames, they have nothing to say or tell, IMHO.
The issue is, that I was expecting way way more, in all honesty... Years have passed, so I assummed the author (Neely Merlandese, IIRC?) had a lot of time to come with great fresh surprising ideas, and also better ways of executing them. I dont regret putting the money in, but I really had the bar of expectations so high up... Maybe its my fault, actually.
Some characters were totally uninteresting, while others were really cool (Tristan? The drunk guy of the bar. Deep guy actually emotionally), and I wanted to know more about them, or even date them, Lol.
A real shame that (SPOILER) only the couple of girls can be dated (Unless I missed something, still have to finish some story arcs). Im aware the game is no a Dating simulator, as it tries to tell stories... But still, IDK.
- Whatever: The game industry really needs writers like him, and I hope a very big company gets him one day. Stories in videogames are so boring nowadays, that they could use his talent, IMHO.
Carry on, mate.

This is the most well written game I have encountered in a very long while. Perhaps ever. I played and enjoyed Last Word many years ago and was delighted to discover that this game was made by the same people. Absolutely fantastic experience.
