Do not censor the game.
The people picking on the developer for having gore in an anime styled game has made him want to have the game possibly censored to end the attacks.

Do you guys want the game censored? And if you censor the game, this will only embolden the complainers to go after other devs; this will screw other people over as a result.

I agree, don't let those pricks win and just ignore them.

If they do it on Steam you can report them to moderation team and they will get banned from Steam community since it is against Steam Rules and Guidelines

Agreed. Never kneel to the mob. You don't see id apologizing for the gore in Doom, and they came under a great deal of attack for it. Stand your ground.

Agreed, ignore people complaining about the gore, they are never here whenever a western game has similar (or even more) amount of gore.

Hello,
For clarification we as a company (Top Hat Studios) do not support any form of censorship, especially as a result of this type of abusive mob behavior. However, we are only co-publishers, so we don't have the final say over what the developer does. I can tell you from our discussions with him, however, there are no plans to simply censor the product.
I believe he wants to add an option/toggle to the settings menu to turn gibbing off optionally. However, the console versions are ultimately at the behest of the ratings boards, so that is a different story, and a discussion we will have to have once the product is rated/goes through platform QA. I will reiterate, again, we do not support censorship nor any form of obscuring of developers' visions.

I love the game and am sorry to hear that the developer is being harassed for a skewed perception of his game and cultural art style by a reviewer. It is sad that because of this he has withdrawn from communication with the player base.

I sincerely hope he leaves the game as is.

I am glad Top Hat Studios is helping with the PC version of the game. It's biggest issue was some performance drops and crashes. Thanks for stepping in. :)

I think the problem lies in that developer only saw a lot of criticism and not much of support/encouragement. Would be great if we could somehow voice our concern and support for his vision and decisions.

That's good news, I hope he sees all the support for his vision on these forums.

I think that is what we are trying to do here. :) A more direct approach would be to show positive support on Twitter.

So glad to hear this.

Let the dev know that he's awesome for making such a unique game and that he's brought a lot more happiness to the world than many others at this point in history. We need more games with awesome visual styles like his.

May I suggest an alternative where organs and the like get replaced by blood splatters ?

I always thought it was a little weird lungs could get cleanly blown out of a ribcage and be left completely pristine...
Why must Twitter and Youtube continue to ruin nice things! People really need to learn that not everything needs to sanitized for the wider audience.

I don't even understand what people are kicking up a fuss over it's not even that gorey. I'm really enjoying the game sofar wish V-Sync was an option though.

Try and see if this helps seeing this game uses UE4:

1. Go to %LocalAppData%\Citadel_186\Config\WindowsNoEditor.
2. Open the "GameUserSettings.ini" file with a text editor.
3. Look for this line under the section [/script/engine.gameusersettings]: bUseVSync=False

Change the value of this line from False to True and see if this enables V-sync in-game. If it's not there, you can write in manually in that section.
