For clarification we as a company (Top Hat Studios) do not support any form of censorship, especially as a result of this type of abusive mob behavior. However, we are only co-publishers, so we don't have the final say over what the developer does. I can tell you from our discussions with him, however, there are no plans to simply censor the product.
I believe he wants to add an option/toggle to the settings menu to turn gibbing off optionally. However, the console versions are ultimately at the behest of the ratings boards, so that is a different story, and a discussion we will have to have once the product is rated/goes through platform QA. I will reiterate, again, we do not support censorship nor any form of obscuring of developers' visions.
I love the game and am sorry to hear that the developer is being harassed for a skewed perception of his game and cultural art style by a reviewer. It is sad that because of this he has withdrawn from communication with the player base.
I sincerely hope he leaves the game as is.
I am glad Top Hat Studios is helping with the PC version of the game. It's biggest issue was some performance drops and crashes. Thanks for stepping in. :)
I think that is what we are trying to do here. :) A more direct approach would be to show positive support on Twitter.
So glad to hear this.
Let the dev know that he's awesome for making such a unique game and that he's brought a lot more happiness to the world than many others at this point in history. We need more games with awesome visual styles like his.
I always thought it was a little weird lungs could get cleanly blown out of a ribcage and be left completely pristine...
Thank you.
Wishlisted, will buy in the near future.
1. Go to %LocalAppData%\Citadel_186\Config\WindowsNoEditor.
2. Open the "GameUserSettings.ini" file with a text editor.
3. Look for this line under the section [/script/engine.gameusersettings]: bUseVSync=False
Change the value of this line from False to True and see if this enables V-sync in-game. If it's not there, you can write in manually in that section.
