Bug: I died the same time I killed the first boss and game saved with all my items used up but have to still fight the boss.
I am on Act 1 at the Angel of Gluttony boss. The first couple of tries I died and restarted the level with all my ammo and items back to where they were when first getting to this level. I beat the boss on my 3rd try but also died at the same time by the last stream of projectiles the boss shot at me. The game seemed to overwrite my save and now I restart the level and all the rockets, chain gun ammo, and blood bags I used when I beat the boss are now gone and I still have to kill the boss again.

I think I am done with this game for now until it gets more patches. I am annoyed at other bugs like always having to reset the mouse wheel weapon selection whenever I get to a new level or die. I get a ton of screen tearing on my desktop computer so I have to play this game on my laptop. I think this is because my laptop screen can run at 144 FPS and my desktop can only run 60 but the game doesn't have a vsync option to prevent screen tearing.

There is also several design decisions that are annoying and does a poor job explaining the mechanics. I still don't know what O2 does, it took a while to figure out that the food meter dictates my max health and having survival mechanics in a game like this seem like a poor fit. I assumed I was selecting a difficulty level when I first started the game but didn't know for sure until I looked it up. Most of the enemies seem to have low health and slow reaction times but are high in damage. This means most of the game feels easy or there is a sharp spike in difficultly where I die quickly and don't really have a chance to use a healing item in time.

I would also love a manual saving and quicksave feature to help prevent the bug I ran into where I lost a lot of my items. I am not a save scummer but if I was who cares this is a single player game. If the developer ends up reading this I think you have a good game that mainly needs a little more polish.

Yeah this game is still very rough around the edges but it's not that bad. Funny enough, similarly to your bug, I keep constantly having a bug that when I restart the level, all my weapons (and upgrades) or at least the extra ammunition I picked up during that level before restarting the game are saved and I begin the level "richer". It's not a big deal because it's in your right to redo any level any amount of time, infinitely farming currency, but when I'm doing a from-start-to-finish playthrough, feels like cheating haha. But playing this for 8+ hours I never encountered your bug, but I also didn't die after killing a boss. My advice would be to just not take it too seriously, levels aren't long enough to really require a save-on-spot mechanic, it's not like you have to restart the whole act, so just go for it again. And don't forget about alt fire

O2 is the least important consumable because it has as far as I know only these 2 functions:
1. Restore stamina so you don't have to wait until you can run, swing your axe and do extra jump. Not very useful, I always sell it.
2. If you're stamina is more or less full and you have the upgrade that can be found in the secret area of act1, overdosing will temporary induce slowmotion which is very useful but not necessary.

Don't know how some people have trouble with screen tearing, works flawlessly for me, fortunately. GL
