Bug List
So I really, really, really like this game, but it's also incredibly broken and busted. So I have decided to list a bunch of bugs in the hope that bringing attention to them helps them get fixed.


- The player character will randomly become invincible for seemingly no reason this tends to happen 100% of the time during boss battles but I found it also can happen on Fortress fixed as of Wednesday, August 12th 2020

- Certain levels like Sinking City will cause the game to crash 100% without fail a little bit after loading back in after a death

- Either using the axe too much crashes the game or killing too many black blobs crashes the game, possibly a combination of both

- When the game crashes a UT4 crash window pops up with the words "Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION"

- Sometimes when falling down the pit in the final level you won't get teleported to the final room and you will get stuck in there with Lusts' bits and pieces

- The game uses 97% of the CPU which I'm just kinda throwing in here because fixing that might alleviate some of these other problems fixed as of Sunday, August 16th 2020

- The game will sometimes freeze and lock you out of alt tabbing

- Enemies will always treat glass like a solid wall they have to walk around instead of shooting you through it

- While you are cooking a grenade you can still shoot your gun

- If you were shooting an automatic gun before dying when you respawn at a pattern buffer the game will keep firing the gun until you hit left click

- If you reload the SMG and then switch weapons mid reload the SMG will be stuck reloading and won't allow you to fire until it's complete, once the reload does complete though despite not being equipped the SMG will continue to fire until you left click (this one is a little weird so I have footage of it)

If you guys have experienced any other game breaking or annoying bugs please list them here, honestly I think this game is great but these bugs really really get in the way of being able to enjoy the game for what it is, hopefully this post helps get these bugs fixed.

If you enter the mech right before dying, it hardbricks your save. You cannot use weapons or interact with anything and only thing to do after that is restarting the whole campaign.

I know this is not a solution but I know the heartbreak of restarting the campaign - remember about the hidden menu where you can fast forward the campaign (unlock chapters + mark bosses as killed).

Shockhammer impact grenades do not collide with turret soldiers
Returning to hub while inside a mech spawns you glitched in the "hole" that leads to the hub, bricking your save

if your mech was destroyed by fall dmg while you are dashing as well and then plummet to your death and revive with a patter buffer. your stamia is kinda glitched and your running speed is the same as normal.(although the runnging animations still plays

got a bug in E2:

when you first aquire the mech and exit it on the stairs in front of the yellow keycard door the mech will get stuck on the stairs

you can still enter and exit the mech, rotate it but are unable to move

Edit: this bug is happening whenever you exit the mecha on a ledge/stairs

What I've encountered so far, but I've only played a few hours:

Shotgun slugs doesn't seem to hit/trigger barrels

Can't open doors while cooking grenades

Unlimited Whalegun ammo glitch
Dropped Whaleguns dont keep track of the bullet count in their magazines. Picking one up always gives you one with a full mag.
So unloading, dropping and then picking up Whaleguns keeps increasing your ammo count.
Or, instead of reloading the gun, just drop it and pick it up again.

You carry unlimited rifle magazines (yeah magazines, not ammo)
If you unload a rifle, drop the magazine by using alt.reload and then picking up the bullet extracted from the chamber - then you can keep spewing out empty mags which will fill the level until they start to despawn.
This is just a minor cosmetic detail and correcting it would imply keeping track of the magazines separately. Might take the game further into a direction similar to the game Receiver, allowing for more micro control over the weapon functions, having to manually insert bullets into magazines outside of fights etc. The game already keeps track of dropped magazines ammo count, so it might not be hard to implement and I bet many would appreciate it as an option.

If you kill yourself after defeating the first boss, you will respawn at the start of the level but the boss will remain dead.
So you can just use all your best ammo, respawn and keep going.

Shotgun shells, grenades and Whalegun ammo pickups don't vanish if they replenish your stock up to max.
This way you can sell or use one at a time and go back for more unlimited times. Infintie money when close to the shopkeeper.
I haven't tried with other ammo types but I bet there are more.


Fantastic game though, loving it.

Yeeeea I've had some bugs...

I've noticed that shooting the explosive enemies (I don't know what they're called lol) with certain weapons will soft-lock the game. Specifically, the flamethrower and the heavy bolter. I'm pretty sure there are more that do this, but I'm not sure which ones specifically.

I don't know if this only me but on E4M4 Sinking City, the long jump platforming section near the Pattern Buffer is impossible to reach. I have use all my lives & restarting this level over 4 times but I always failed on this section no matter how I tried.

heh, not to be rude buuuut... get gud lol

That jump is totally doable, but if you want my advice, don't bother. Instead, the moment you start the level, jump on top of the entry point to get out of bounds and jump to the ending. Saves, like, 20 minutes.

Hi! Not sure if bug of feature. But if you aim with your guns - use the ADS feature - the gun is complete black now. I played the game a few month ago and that was not a thing.
So I was wondering if feature or bug? If feature - is there a way to get the old detailed guns back? If bug :D maybe you can fix that . thx!

I died getting in a mech then responded with the mech recital but couldn't attack see/switch weapons or take damage. Completed the level and still can't use weapons or take damage closed the game and reopened it still can't attack or take damage

Seconding the blacked-out aim-down-sights sprites. The demo had a proper sprite for the machine gun's ADS, so this definitely seems unintentional.
Leaving the mech on the stairs down on E2M2 and re-entering it causes it to get stuck. You can enter it fine, but you can't move at all - not even Jumpjets respond.

I've got another one: During the first encounter with the flamethrower enemies, she won't attack you if you follow the normal path, but if you jump around the buildings and face her on the other side of the map, she will indeed attack you.

I found that this is actually a very specific list of one glitch in which if you pick up any amount of ammo greater than, or equal to the difference between your current reserve ammo for a weapon and your maximum potential reserve ammo for said weapon, the ammo will not disappear.

The only weapon that this bug doesn't apply to is the rocket launcher which has a bug where you pick up ammo no matter what and it always disappears when you do, even if you are like me and don't use the rocket launcher because ammo for it is rare and so always have it at max capacity.

Apart from that but related I found a bug where you could carry potentially unlimited satchel charges with this glitch by throwing one, picking up an ammo pack and then throwing one again, repeating this process for as long as one likes and then picking up the resulting mountain of satchel charges. It does let you keep them, it doesn't care that you are above it's established limit, I have exploited these for tonnes of money, it is incredible how fast I burn through it by abusing blood bags too hard.

Entirely unrelated, some text boxes like "are you sure you want to quit" the yes no text prompt should probably be highlighted, otherwise a player might forget about the confirmation text prompt and just end up sitting there before pressing alt+f4.

I will also confirm the issue with shotguns not triggering barrels, but I have never experinced the issue with doors and cooking grenades entirely because I am never cooking a gerenade... ever really. I am really limiting myself here.
