Tube extensions gives your pistol more rounds it can hold and allows you to reload two bullets instead of one. Normal without is 8 and you have to hit R 8 times for a full clip. Tube gives you 13, and reloads 2 for one R press so you only have to press R 6-7 times.
Haven't gotten the Whalegun's HE upgrade yet (Game is very crashy) but if you got the 4x upgrade, pressing your secondary fire before zooming it changes it from 2x to 4x
I know about V, and pressing the number key a second time to bring up an alternate gun, such as switching between the two shotguns or switching between the laser designator and the satchel charges.
Some of the upgrades can be purchased just fine. Like the Whalegun's x4 works fine. The burst fire modes both work fine, and it seems that you're right about the tube extension working as intended.
However, the Whalegun's HE upgrade doesn't work at all, and the Flash rocket launcher doesn't work at all. I know what it's supposed to look like when used, since the gameplay video shows the player use it briefly, but it cannot be bought in-game.
Flash rocket, again, no idea.
I mentioned that I already knew about this method of switching weapons that are in the same category, BUT it doesn't work for the Flash Rocket launcher. Again, it does not get added to your inventory if you buy it from the shop. It simply. Doesn't. Work.
There is one last thing that I have yet to try, and that is dropping the regular rocket launcher from my inventory right before buying the Flash Launcher. Maybe if I don't have another rocket launcher, it will actually add it to my weapons.
