"Ultimate Hunting is due out in 2025 for PC, and will be released later for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and the Nintendo Switch successor."
..that said, I would love to know whether to expect it at the front end or back end of 2025.... but my money is on late 2025
We will hopefully see what the devs say though
If there are no delays...
This translates to me like they didn't make a good game or didn't listen to the player base. You can certainly go to discord where it was stated. So don't expect them to say or do anything of substance. I have decided to put this game on the back burner until it comes out. Nothing they have said or done has given me faith in this game.
Now that isn't to say i am not going to buy it if it is good. I just don't like how the devs are handling the game and it feels ( not that its fact/true) to me like they are just hiding things or not being fully honest. So do what you will with the information.
You can see that the baboon ( i think it is ) in the latest video is just the exact same animation as when they showed the baboon nothing changed except it looks like the baboon crawls alittle faster. However all of that has been shown before and isn't something i consider new.
Hunting simulator has to really show something before I'll give another penny for it. The trailer was very superficial and didn't show much detail, all in all not very impressive. I didn't think they'd even try another game again!
We don't need five or more half-baked hunting games, we need one excellent hunting game.
“Good things take time.”
Elephant hunting would be something new if it's very well made. But I'm currently hyperskeptical about what I see on the horizon. They should take their time, there is enough boring mediocrity.
Tracer arrows actually being well made, the line of sight spooking mechanics from classic, hybridized with cotw's camoflauge system would be nice. Certain aspects of animal behaviour are better in classic.
Also the way need zones are handled should be redone, all the current games just borrow from Cabelas BGH Pro Hunts. Animals shouldn't drink for 4 hours, they shouldn't chew the same blade of grass everyday either. Classic on the other hand is too random to be realistic.
