Same for me, single cleaver / single vortex / luck / explosion damage. I was surprised for the achivement to pop. I THINK, though might be way off, the damage to single enemy is calculated within a small time-frame, and not a single attack per se.
Clever gives blades damage, also gives blades area as a big upgrade, arsenal gives blades damage, crit gives blades crit chance, crit damage, the big upgrade for increased crit damage based on skill area, then cyclone blade can further increase blades area.
for experimental upgrade, all or nothing strikes.
this all gives it pretty loaded damage.
this also only uses 4 of the 5 skill slots, i usually take feather blades for blades count, but it's not needed for the achievement
