Not sure what the problem is but its horribly glitchy on deck with text and menus blank and framerate super choppy once you start a run immediately! Just bought it for the deck but I may have to refund.

Edit: tried for a 6th time opening and closing the game and finally got a normal run, but after that ended it glitched again.

Aww man, that sucks.

Have you tried using proton experimental?

Sorry for the Steam Deck problems. We had tested the game on a few Steam Decks and none had any issues.
I honestly don't know how to locate and fix bugs like that.

Can you provide any more details? Are all Steam Decks the same configuration?

I have no audio with bluetooth on Steam Deck for some reason. Several reboots and can't get it to work.

This seems to be an issue with Unity games with native Linux releases. Maybe even specifically Fmod related.
Games exported this way through this engine for whatever reason can't detect your default audio output device. Might also be specific to Pipewire, which is what I chose to use, and what Steam Deck uses by default.

Switching your default audio device while these specific games are running seem to fix it per run though. So you may be able to launch the game, then connect your bluetooth afterwards.

Playing on OG Steam deck. It's bizarre the first time I tried playing it was virtual unplayable. Vary choppy frame rate, stuttering and unresponsive controls. Decided to give it another shot today before refunding and its running pretty well. Was able to complete 2 runs and beat the first level. Frame rate steadily decreased as the round went on and more mobs were on the screen. Dipping into the low 20s and possibly teens during the boss fight but still playable. Fun game but don't think I'd recommend it to steam deck users in it's current state.

I played it on my deck a few min ago... Massive stuttering, no text on any of the menus after I started the first run (was fine until I started the run then while it was loading (and showing the controls) suddenly the text disappeared off the controls and I had no menu text after that. Anywhere, even at the main menu after the run was done.

Interesting, the game runs flawlessly for me. The only dips in frames is when a wave comes initially, then is fine.

After starting it several times i can say it is completely random on if it starts ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up or not.
You wont know untill you start a run though.

I can confirm it's not playable on (OG) steam deck. The text disappears once you start a run. I remember having that kind of bug reported for my game on Linux back in the day so it might be related, although we could never reproduce it. We were using TextMeshPro (before the buyout), maybe there's a bug in there with Linux based systems. Might have been fixed in subsequent updates but not available for your version of Unity.

I take back what I said. It becomes a choppy mess late in the later game.

Not the dev's fault, but "verified on deck" is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke.
