Thanks for letting us know.
The Steam version is currently the same as the BFG version so you would more than likely have the same issue :(
We are keen to fix it for you, is there any chance you could share a screenshot of how it is squeezed? Also could you please let us know what screen resolution you use?
Cheers,
Steve and Kylie
The Revills Games
Screen resolution is 1440x900 which is the recommended setting.
I have a screenshot but can't see a way to insert it here, so I got out a tape measure, lol. My screen is 10 inches in height and 16 inches in length. The black areas are 2 inches top and bottom, so 6 inches for the play area, which is full length.
I tried windowed mode as well. I didn't think to do that previously and it actually looks a lot better. On comparison, I think it's more correct to say 'stretched lengthwise' rather than 'squeezed'.
I'm happy with windowed mode, so I'm going to go ahead and buy the game. Thank you.
And thanks for the info, I've set my monitor to 1440x900 and started the game in full screen mode and unfortunately it looks okay here. My monitor (27" (16:9) (1920x1080)) has a setting to pretend to be a smaller size monitor and selecting 22"W (16:10) or 19"W (16:10), the game still displays correctly.
It would great if you could send us the screenshot.
Also if you would like to help us debug this issue could you please generate a log by following these instructions:
* Set the game back to full screen and quit
* Right Click on Legends of Solitaire: Diamond Relic in Steam and select Properties
* On the Legends of Solitaire: Diamond Relic Properties dialog click the Set launch Options... button
* Type in "LOG" without the quotes
* Click OK
* Then click Close
* Launch the game
* Wait until the title screen is displayed (you can skip the intro)... then quit the game
* Go to the folder C:\ProgramData\The Revills Games\Legends of Solitaire 3, there now should be a LOG file called something like "LOG08 Aug 2020.log" (the date may be different)
* Could you please post what's in the LOG file here
* Remove the "LOG" launch option from the game
All the best,
Steve and Kylie
