Nah i highly doubt that, the game is prob gonna have servers online in like 2 or so days, unless it is actually over, but i doubt , the devs don't give a damn about this game anyways, they definitely wanted it to die, they didn't even give the game back to devs after the real devs (Justin & Nick) asked kong to give it back, they wanted the game to die , and they are doing it in a way to make it seems like its a server outage , but trust me, they want the game to die, they only want profit of it.

It was such a great game a few years ago when servers were full of players and when it was in active development with new event modes and new weapons added regularly.

Can Kongregate let players host dedicated servers of their own? Better than a complete demise of a game that actually fills a unique niche of hardware-accessible and not eye-straining (thanks to being 2d only and with limited field of vision) variant of a survival battle royale genre.

Kong will never listen to us, they will not, because they don't care about the game at all , or the community .

I recommend you just leave the game and go play something else, or play again with 10 or so people when the server comes back if it ever will, but i think its best to just leave it the way it is.

There seems to be a work-in-progress project for self-hosted servers at https://github.com/hsanger/survivreloaded

I haven't tested it myself, though. And the main problem I see, is the missing player base. It was in steady decline since there were so many hackers, and Kongregate took over the game without developing real new content.

Flexo, the surviv reloaded project will have a player base since it has the backing of the competitive scene and other contributors to the game. Right now it's still in early stages of development and more or less has meme/testing servers until all the bugs are fixed. You cand find the project's discord here.
