can´t finish 4:th mission

My daughter can´t complete Jakes mountain. When Skye is supposed to do the storm the controller do not work.
Can someone help?

Hi!

We are sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue.

In this mission, when using Rocky to finish fixing the ski lift, you would have to repeatedly press A. After that, you'll need to rotate the Left Analog / Left Thumbstick for the next part of the repairs. And for the last part, you'll need to push the Left Analog / Left Thumbstick left and right until you get that done.

We are sorry you are having an issue with Paw Patrol Mighty Pups.

We recommend that you try these steps:

1. Launch Steam.

2. Click on the Steam tab, find this in the upper left corner.

3. Select Settings.

4. Click on the Controller option in the left column.

5. Click on “General Controller Settings” which will open a new window.

6. Check the box of the controller you are using. (PlayStation in your case)

7. Click the Back Button to save

8. Close Steam

9. Restart your computer


If it is still not working after this, there are some further actions to be done.

a) Enable controller support in Big Picture Mode
This is helpful when the wrong button prompts show up or the controller is not detected at all.

b) Controller detected as Player 2 - Disconnect other devices
Disconnect all other USB devices from the PC before launching the game. Some USB devices could be mistakenly detected as a controller. This is common with Flightsticks and HOTAS controllers. This may also help when the controller is not detected at all.

c) Connect the controller before starting Paw Patrol Mighty Pups. Do not connect it while the game is starting as this may lead to issues.

d) Reinstall the drivers

1. Right-click the Windows start button

2. Select Device Manager

3. Find your controller in the device list

4. Right-click the controller and select Uninstall device

5. Restart the PC with the controller plugged in
The drivers will be re-installed automatically.

Yep same problem for me as well...There was another mission before this one that required circular movement as well and it wasnt registering my movements. I have updated the firmware for my xbox controller, the settings are set to default in the xbox accessories app. Furthermore, I have tried both wired and wireless mode...

Was anyone able to rectify the controller (specifically XBOX) issue? I have tried all sorts of suggestions and we are still stuck at the circular movement for 2nd stage the one with Rocky's ethereal screwdriver. Else, I'm requesting for refund already. My poor son so upset he can't proceed with the game.

Microsoft Store
Open the Xbox Accessories app.
Connect your Xbox Wireless Controller by using a USB cable or the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows.
When the controller is connected, you'll see the message Update Required if an update is mandatory. Install the update.
Things to keep in mind
The Xbox Accessories app is available only on Windows 10/11.
Updating the controller over Bluetooth is not supported.

Are you playing through game streaming ? I had this issue when running the game on a Moonlight client, but switching to Steam Remote Play solved the issue. I had the same issue in a Lego game as well in which a circular motion had to be performed with the joystick.

I wanted to report a detail for this issue.
The "Rotate the joystick" objectives have a decay rate based on framerate. My daughter always got stuck on these puzzles and needed an adult. After a recent upgrade, it was nearly impossible for an adult (gamer). I checked my FPS via steam overlay and it was about 450fps.

So, I entered NVidia control panel and globally forced V-Sync globally, framerate was then locked at 60, and my daughter was able to complete the challenge.

It seemed to me like the rate of decay of the "gauge" was just much faster, so perhaps computing a time component rather than using a fixed subtraction per game tick would resolve it in the game? Or forcing v-sync in the game code?

Is there perhaps a command line switch or settings file for v-sync?

Have same problem in the game, the advices from this topic did not help, then I stupidly turned off the controller, the game stopped and warned that the first player was disconnected, after which I turned the controller back on and everything worked fine.
