Fixing the ski lift
On the second stage you are supposed to collect pieces and then fix the ski lift. The Rubble part where he straightens the lift up works but when Rocky is supposed to use the screwdriver, you are supposed to turn the left stick, nothing happens. My kids are stuck, Ive tried it myself and no matter what I do I just cant seem to get by this part.
Just turning the stick the same way as shown, or the other way around does nothing.
We've tried matching the speed and rotation of the stick, doesnt work.
We've tried spinning it as fast/slow as possible, doesnt work.
Is there a trick that we are missing or what ?

We are playing on PC with Xbox series controllers.

Hiya! Sorry you are experiencing this issue with the PAW Patrol Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay.
Unfortunately we have not been able to reproduce this issue, or heard of it before. In this mission, when using Rocky to finish fixing the ski lift, you would have to repeatedly press A. After that, you'll need to rotate the Left Analog / Left Thumbstick for the next part of the repairs. And for the last part, you'll need to push the Left Analog / Left Thumbstick left and right until you get that done.
We believe this could be due to having the controller miscoinfigured... Here's a link for controller troubleshooting on steam: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=6313-USJC-6802
Let us know if this does not help to address the issue. :)

Did you find any fix? My kid is also stuck. Control configuration seems to be ok...

Sorry. Ive completely missed your question =(
To be honest... I think it suddenly just started working !?
I could be wrong, or mixing it up cause I got a ps5 a few months ago and Ive been trying to get most games for the console instead. I think Paw Patrol was one of the ones I got for him there. That would explain why I got the impression that it suddenly worked.
In either case.
I never found a solution. Nothing that I could do to make it work so even if it did fix itself or not I dont have any advice to give =(
Sorry

I have the same problem when using Rocky to finish fixing the ski lift, the 2nd step of rotating the Left Analog / Left Thumbstick for the next part of the repairs doesn't work. no matter how fast I rotate it, the progress bar won't show. I've tried to calibrate my controller twice but it is still not working.:steamfacepalm:

I've manage to pass it by switching to old xbox controller.
Wireless xbox series controller - doesn't work
Wire xbox one controller - everything works great.

This has happened 4 times now, we cannot get passed this part. The controllers are configured properly (otherwise I'm not sure how you'd even be moving the pups).
I have uninstalled and re-installed the game twice. I've tested two controllers. I'm not sure how you can't reproduce this problem, but that must be nice, because I can do nothing BUT get this bug.
I even took a video of it.
Has there been a solution found, or a patch to fix the broken game?

Hi!
We're very sorry to hear that you are having this problem.
We would like to know what type of controller you are using. We use Xbox One controllers and we are unable to reproduce the issue. If you could share the video you mention with us it would be helpful to find out what might be happening. If possible, send it to our support email: support@outrightgames.com
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi--

I am also experiencing this issue, with an Xbox One controller. The issue seems to be that the input speed needed is inhumanely high. If I spin the controller stick as fast as I can (using the palm of my hand with the controller flat on the table), I can get it to start climbing, but any slowdown whatsoever will cause it to reset. After trying for several minutes I ran out of stamina!

I struggled for the longest time to figure out this issue and discovered a fix while fixing an unrelated issue. If you have an Xbox controller, connect it to an Xbox and update the firmware for the controller. I was shocked to find that this worked. Hopefully a firmware update helps others.

Awesome! Thanks timotheoamadeo!

I found this thread while trying to solve the issue of Rocky's screwdriver not responding to the left analog stick when using a new XBox Wireless Controller on Windows 11. The fix was to plug in the controller and update its firmware (via XBox Accessories from the Windows Store). Made a four-year-old's day!

I'm perplexed that new firmware helps, or matters at all, but I've been doing software for too long to be shocked...
