can the game be played offline or does it rely on online servers to be played?

I want to buy the DLC to support, but I wouldn't want it shut down due to lack of players, etc.

Also, can you please add inverstigator bots, thank you!

The way multiplayer works is through hosted lobbies. The lobby search runs using the Steam network. The game can be played "offline" in the sense that you can start a game and just play by yourself (not nearly as fun with people from the internet or more so with friends!)

We've been developing this game constantly for quite a few years now, it has had continual updates. Check out the news and history on Steam update, or even in game on the left side of the main menu.

We are so happy for your support from playing our game, if you want to financially support with DLC we'd be very appreciative but it is by no means required.
