After sinking 80 hours SOLO into playing Runescape Dragonwilds, I have discovered some Pros and Cons of this early access title, and would love to share my thoughts!

Starting with the GOOD and FUN things about the game.
- This game is beautiful. Bright colours with great environmental effects of the world.
- Combat feels awesome and a little souls like, love the parry mechanic.
- Building in this game is very addictive the way everything snaps is a builders dream, you can build basically anywhere!
- The armour designs and Masterwork weapons are a great touch, very Nostalgic!
- Spells feel natural to the game i really enjoyed using different spells to overcome certain fights or even travelling, finding secret caves, and hidden areas.
- Quests and side quests are limited but short and sweet!
- Vaults are unique, some of them can be quite challenging but overall engaging and super fun!
- Having 3 different attack styles (Melee, Ranged, Magic) makes the game fun in way where u can chose what style you want to traverse the map or how you want to approach certain enemy's.
- Loved the soundtrack and music!

Now we can discuss the BROKEN, BAD and UGLY!
- The Dragon attacks feel unnecessary and pointless, also the fact that he still fly's around after you KILL HIM is very strange! The dragon attacks forced tons of people to build in the starter zone (Tier 1) with limited areas to build, because of the constant barrages from Velgars poison attacks if you build in Bramble wood or any (Tier 2) or higher zones. I understand seeing him fly over from time to time, it can add ambience to the game, but it is a very annoying mechanic to deal with and you cant do much about it.
- The amount of times you have to SLEEP and EAT in this game is a bit overwhelming , being a survival crafting game i understand the challenges and intensity of these games but my god i felt like i needed to sleep, eat, drink almost every 10 minutes ! It was quite exhausting at times.
- Although this game had great visuals it was verrry blurry felt like i had motion blur on in tons of areas.
- Spells take way to long to cast, especially if you are trying to put up a tempest shield or even as small as a building spell it takes forever in scenarios where u need it fast!
- Lacks content and needs wayy more things to do. After i did the main story quest and killed the dragon there is not much left to do except going out and searching for masterwork weapons, armour and decoration items if you are a collector .
- Some resources are quite hard to come by especially Harralander, very limited herb to come by and is essential if you want to make weak anti poisons to travel through the Bloodblight Swamps.
- Lacks two skills such as Hunting and Farming. Two of the most important skills in any crafting survival game which too me IMO should have already been released early access, i think it will help with the resource inefficiency.
- Travelling in this game on foot can be a daunting task especially if you have to go back to your loot in a areas that are guarded by high tier enemies can get frustrating if you don't have Waystones set up in your favour!
Would be nice to see some sort of movement speed spell so i don't have to rely on placing a Waystone in every corner of the map.
- Last thing "Bad" about this game is the lack of enemy variety, tons of the areas had similar enemies and to be honest the only thing that made me feel like i was in a different area was the Environmental effects. For example, in the Stormtouched zone it felt dark and dangerous with lightning smacking the ground but no new enemy's around so it did killed the feels of exploring something new ! Not a fan of seeing the same enemies in a different biome.

VERDICT

Runescape Dragonwilds was super fun! Great combat system, not to mention the soundtrack and music was beautiful along with the visuals very colourful and bright ! Engaging vaults/ dungeons, killing bosses finding new masterworks with Friends or even Solo will be worth your money and time ! THIS IS A CRAFTING SURVIVAL GAME IT IS NOT RUNESCAPE ! If they added more skills, more spells, and a ton of new content this game will thrive but right now it does lack a few elements and could use some optimization!
I personally loved this game but to continue following up and playing I think speaking on behalf of the community it needs to push out content fast and make the xp drops smaller so we can get excited about new skills and spells. Tons of potential, keep COOKIN JAGEX!

Let's just be honest here, for the current state and the content of the game isnt worth for $30. They charge you $10 more because it has "RuneScape" on the titles. Lots Early Access titles give you "discounted" prices because you try unfinised game. They even state that once the game leave Early access, they will be increasing the prices and MAY release post-launch content as Paid DLC. So how much this game is actually worth? $50 perhaps? but until then it still up to you to decide if the game actually worth or not. i just give my honest experienced for the current Early Access.

The Good :
- I have played Valheim for 100hrs and i can say, for it ''super early access" RuneScape: Dragonwilds it has some better improvement. You dont feel much "grind" and you can gather your resources very easy. Many spell like cutting the tree and explosive spell for the stone are very helpful. And if you like me who love decorating house it much helpful with new spell with a little rune you gather you can free move your camera to design/decorating house more easy and accurated.

The Bad :
- I'm being honest and maybe some of you will disagree with me and that's fine, but The combat in this game are very clunky. I feel like the combat in this game made from 2012 free to play MMO. The movement are janky, sometimes you feel like you hit invisible wall and the hit box are very bad. I'm using a mage staff and sometimes you just stood there and freeze or when i'm using melee like greatswords sometimes the hit box arent register even though it visually look im hit them with the combos.

- Random enemy spawn are too often. Let's just say you clearing the area and then find new enemies, you hit them and then 3 Dire wolf just spawn RIGHT BEHIND YOU even though you just clear the area very recently. I often died because of this.. and dont say i'm being reckless or not being careful, i'm already checking every corner everytime and playing it carefully but yes the enemies spawn are so random and it much worse when they just spawn literally right behind you.

The Mixed :
- The game Maps and Dungeon are not random generated and that's good. But the thing is even though is not random generated the area are offer nothing. The Dungeon are almost look identical and not very rewarding. The same enemies, The same traps, same Boss monsters...

For now there is no memoriable soundtracks for the game, but it still has some good feeling moment when you exploring. The only bad thing is that The Dragon roar and the raid sound it just sooo loud. Seriously everything is already quite and if lowering the sounds for that everything just went silent.

Even for early access the game still need a some fix and updates for better experiences. The game still playable and enjoyable if you like the genre for it kind and when i'm writting this the developer released new updates for many problem that i have said and i hope for the future they keep updating because right now it still lack of content. I just hope they keep their promised because this game have so much potential.

The items below need fixing.

1. Ridiculous amounts of dragon vomit on a 1-2 day/night cycle basis
2. Even after the Dragon is Slain it still vomits from the sky, even though its dead?
3. Calm down on the Raids. Frequency is too high.
4. Simultaneous attacks, Dragon Vomit, Raids, Lightning, Getting Hunted. I've had all of these at once. Multiple Times.
5. Cost of Water VS Dirty Water, when making Ferocity Brew, takes 4 Clean Waters / 2 Dirty Waters, it should be the other way around, Because Dirty = 2 Units, Clean = 8 Units.
6. Mobs won't attack each other, you think Wolves would hunt sheep, or hostile plants would hit all targets, if i'm engaged with them and goblins it would be neutral and attack everyone instead everything just focuses on me.
7. Lighting Issue in Zones, Everything turns black at night, impossible to see even with fire wisp.
8. There are spots in the game where if you jump/fall/use windwalk etc...you will land and SURVIVE, thats the horrible part, if you live when you touch that platform, thats your bodys save point. So if you die or go anywhere else your body will always be on that side of the cliff.
There was no way to get up from that cliff, only down, which is outside the zones of the world, so my loot, tools, weapons, rare materials, Demonic Whip were all stuck on the side of the mountain and we tried over 50 times to reach it, we could, but there was no way back up, no way to put down a portal, no way to LIVE with those items, which means we cut our loss on all of our T4 Tools and Weapons, and didn't have the materials to make it again, essentially sending us back into the Bronze Age.
It was beyond fustrating.
9. Building Supports if you use the Beam its a height of 2 Units, If you want a 3 height room the small support on the main support beam doesn't provide any additional support, instead it makes it go from GREEN to YELLOW weakening the support effects, to the point when you start to build the 2nd floor, you realise you need to start over with a room of only 2 Units in height.
10. Not easy to put roofing on when you have a large area to cover, roof supports act oddly
11. Dragon Vomit going through multiple layers of housing.
12. Being inside a Ore Cave is safe from Dragon Vomit, but not from Lighting Attacks in the zone. I got hit by lighting, inside the cave.
13. Used Clay & Ore Finder, Found Ores underground which were not reachable by cave passage, seemed to have wrong xyz coordinates, Ore Finder refused to find another node once it finds a bugged one.
14. Dying to get my gear back, you get hunted and die, somewhere far away out in the wilds, running solo to to get your body back, to get your tools and weapons, dying on the way there, to lightning, wolves, goblins, everything, 10+ times to recover it, and take 1 step before dying again, slowly inching your way back to safety with each death is exhausting.
15. Speaking of Exhausting, I'M NOT HUNGRY I'M NOT THIRSTY I'M NOT TIRED, I'M DEAD
Like come on, I JUST ATE why am I hungry again, I just drank, I just slept, the drain rate is INSANE, like actually crazy.
I get that food is easy to make, but I don't want to sit there feeding every 2 minutes. I found the Nexus Mods to turn this feature off or reduce it drastically, but the mods didn't work for me, unfortunately, its just OVERKILL.

Not just that, I JUST DIED, I had full thrist and satiation and now i'm starved and dehydrated, I need my stamina to get back to my body but i'm penalised for that too because of death, well no point eating, because i'm about to die another 10 times to get my stuff back from where I died.

There is alot of stuff that needs reworking or a 2nd look.

Also in the Dungeons are we suppose to be able to just walk back in after we completed it and go to the boss room and reloot the Cores & Chests, because this is the 1 feature I do LOVE. But wasn't sure if it was suppose to be like that or just a bug, some mobs respawn, some don't.

If you play ahead of friends on your server, they can't go through it and experiance it and miss out. They can reloot the chest later once it respawns to get the crafting unlocks I guess.

Boss Scaling in Dungeons as a SOLO player, you need to know how to kite mobs with range weapons. Or else you are over whelmed and killing 1 at a time with alot of deaths in between.

Dungeons with 2 People makes it REALLY EASY like so easy that it was a cake walk and not a challenge at all. I understand when friends connect the world scales up, but theres something not correct with the difficulty balancing in dungeons for SOLO vs DUO vs SQUAD play.

I'm hoping we hear OG music tracks and the fireworks/sizzling/achievement sounds

As a Demo its nice to see the game and get a taste of it, but I can't recommend anyone spending $43.95 on it until its a fully fledged game.

The devs are working their best on this.
Once all the issues above are fixed i'll edit this review. Once again I stress do not buy it, not until a full release.

There is very little content right now, that even with building multiple bases and stretching it out as much as possible.
