There's tons of good spots, but you can't go wrong with the starting area, Bramblemead.

I have bases in many places though.
My main base is at the entrance of Fractured Hills, as soon as you walk in.
I do have 1 near Bramble, 1 near the entrance to Bloodblight Swamp, 1 in Whisper near the Vault, and 1 in Stormtouched by the Iron Mine Cave.

But generally some other good spots include the top of the Fractured hill mountain, where you start the Heartstrings quest, a nice spot over by the old RuneCrafting Guild in the North section of Bramblemead (Where the statue is for Highlighting the Problem quest), and some people have built in the cave in Bramblemead across the windstep gap where you find a ghost for Restless Ghost

Thank's I'll have a look tomorrow
Imho the best base is build between the two lakes near the starting church/temple. Cozy and nice landscape. And you can have as many teleporters as you want, so no need for a strategic base, just build where the view is beautiful.
I built in bramblemead.

Just due to the sheer number of plants and resources that spawn all around the ruined village. Potatoes, red berries, 2 different spots for runestone, rat meat, chickens, a cow, flax, and more.

The lodestones allow you to go all over the map so it really doesn't matter where you base is.

Plus, it's a spot where the wise man appears, camped in a ruined stone building in
bramblemead. so I have an NPC neighbor. I build my main base right next to that building. I even built a whole little house over/around the ruins he camps in because I felt bad watching him stand there while it was pouring rain outside.

Once you build a palisade around your base, the raids seem to get confused. They would spawn in while I was in my base and then just... stand there. They don't seem to come and attack the palisades. I ended up just sniping them with a bow. Or when I got bored I'd jump over the palisades and hack and slash them.

And these were just ash wood palisades and gates. Not even oak.
Well I was hoping to build a castle or even get close to lumbridge but like every cliff is curved for some reason, or the camps and it's just like bleh.

Wait for the update to give us stone blocks, then you can build your castle, im hoping they give us a source of water too, like a well, because building in higher ground with great views leave you, usually, without any water source near the base.

Although you might wanna build something near a lake when the fishing skill comes, theres a great spot near the first area too, that little lake with the chest at the center island.

They have a lot to add though, we might build a great base in the first biome, i dont think nobody will build inside the new fellhollow one, too depressing, but the future updates will give us more lively ones to choose, so save those pillons.
It's just knowing where to build on the map, because if I build too far in then I'm surrounded by high tiers, but if I find a decent spot I can't build there because of a goblin camp/spawns
keep in mind the cost of teleportation too since the crafting materials respawn you could just drop a lodestone in a semi safe area also the warbands only occur when you have a bed assigned. The defensive walls actually come in handy if you use them smartly when you base in higher areas in tougher areas i tend to have a mini base... or outpost. Traveling back and forth at times gets.... tiring. but if you waste a bunch of time on runecrafting you can eventually make lawrunes...

I got a base in the starting area in that broken down building with that dude inside, I do want to go elsewhere and build bigger but current issues is finding where can I build big enough and still be able to tackle the foes
how big ya thinking how many foundations wide?
also if your... basing in the church like it sounds like .... your teleportation spells are gonna cost a lot

No idea just yet, was just looking for a nice big spot where I can build to my hearts content and go from there continually readjusting, yeah probs the church

Its a good idea to build multiple bases, I have one near the starting temple, one in fractured plains, one in Fellhollow and one in Dowdun reach. Honestly starting out, the best area to build a secure base that is big is definitely near the starting temple. When you reach endgame, Dowdun in this case it is IMO better place since there are no raids thats gonna happen, the location is at dowdun and it offers a separate form of teleportation so you could move up your main base later on. And its also not as far as fellhollow from the starting temple, with 130~160kg of weight costs around 35~40 Law runes per movement between dowdun and starting temple. Also the fact that Maple trees don't drop seeds so its another convenient thing to build over at Dowdun when you get there.

Create a creative world, and use that as a sandbox to test your building.

Honestly, 4 x 4 large foundations and go up to 3 floors, just the house, I think, that is the minimum.

Base building will cause mob spawning at the nearby becomes disabled. Just build wherever you want.

The most important is you need to build walls in high tier area.

You don't need a wall at Dowdun because the raids don't happen over there. Fractured plains has raids, fellhollow doesn't have raids but spawns groups of skeletons every now and then near you though. Dowdun is a great place to build if you don't want to have walls.
