I am on linux desktop and was able to get in game and watch the cutscenes fine. Maybe just try hooking up a keyboard to your steam deck to get past that part instead of the virtual one?
I too am curious about this, I'd also like to know if it's possible to play without having an active internet connection. I use my Steam Deck mostly during slow hours at work with no wifi.

I am installing it on the Deck in my office now. I will let you all know how it plays after I get a chance to try it. (Between calls or while waiting for repairs to run)

Full disclosure I play my deck in a Docking station at the office with mouse and keyboard hooked up to Wired internet and an external monitor

So it sounds like the game is playable but with external devices? Not so much purely on SD ?

for anyone still wondering the performance is not great. it struggles to hold 30 fps with all the upscalers maxed out. Even if you can get the frames to a solid 30 right now its look so blurry you cant tell what anything is.

Tried it on the steamdeck. Currently it is unplayable as the fps is very low(20-40) and stays mostly around 20-25 fps

OK I played about 20 min or so to try it out. It is very playable on default settings it detects that it is a steam deck. It applies up scaling I did Balanced. No stuttering or lagging issues. I was playing single player. Truthfully though I am more looking forward to it on my main system at home tonight.

Could you share your settings? I'd like to give it a shot since I'm having framerate issues.
