Progression feels awkward
Anyone else feel like the progression feels really wonky? I'm not sure that It's bad or good, it's just awkward, and not very straight forward.

What's the point of all the dungeons if they reset and they all drop the same amount of cores?

the cores are used in some crafting recipes later on, along with for the teleporters, so having them respawn is nice. besides that, dungeons aren't really attached to the quests, besides the one where you gotta talk to the goblin at the end. aside from that, i think the progression is good so far. i enjoy when games dont hold your hand and you have to spend time looking around for things to progress. ill admit, i spent a while looking for the anima infused bark before i found it, but that made it even better when i did find it.

Exploration is a key part of the survival genre. I feel ya on the anima infused bark. Started off with just one location for it. Now I have 7 locations for anima infused bark. There ay be more I have yet to fins or have found them all. The 7 locations bring in 150 plus in a single trip.
It does seem a bit "stilted" for lack of a better word. It never seems like the difficulty gradually or smoothly increases, it jumps up to "a bit above your paygrade" a few times and everything below that previous jump becomes trivial to the point of annoyance and/or farming. Sometimes entirely dependent on RNG (Like there was a period in which the plains were fairly easy for me EXCEPT when i found a dire wolf or a druid while i lacked my anti-poison potions, either of those encounters was pretty much a sudden death until i could upgrade my armor).

It's because the game design for the dungeons is literally just bad.

They all have the same enemies and same loot from chests, regardless of where you go into them.

The biggest offender for progression for me was killing the Abyssal demon in the 2nd biome and having it drop enough materials to craft the whip right away. All the other melee weapons after that just felt like downgrades.
