Thoughts after 75+ hours

so after spending over 75 hours playing this game i've come to the conclusion that things "might" be a bit better with a few changes to them, below though this is simply just my thoughts on this

*Attack*
Tempest Shield (nothing to change)
Enchant weapon: Fire (casting time should be reduced by 10-20%)
Enchant weapon: air (casting time should be reduced by 10-20%)
*Mining*
Rocksposion (reduce casting time by .25% and CD by 15s) [casting time vs cool-down time just feels off]
Detect ore and clay (nothing to change)

*Woodcutting*
Axtral projection (reduce casting time by 0.5%)
Splinter (reduce CD by 15s) [given how much players are chopping down trees being able to use this even slightly faster makes a world of difference]

*Artisan*
Bark to bones (reduce CD by 25-50%) [this spell almost never gets used so such a high CD makes no sense]
Superheat (increase duration by 0.5X /reduce casting time by 0.5x)
Magical mending (nothing to change)

*Construction*
Eye of oculus (increase casting time by 1.0x) [given this is mostly only every used out of combat a faster casting time makes no sence]
Summon shelter (nothing to change)
Personal chest (nothing to change)

*Cooking*
Internal alchemy (210s CD down to 100s-90s CD) [this spell almost never gets used so such a high CD makes no sense]
Bones to peaches (nothing to change)

*Runecrafting*
Windstep (nothing to change)
Fire spirit (nothing to change)

now with spells out of the way i do hope that the devs are or start thinking about adding in some sort of world settings like
- changing drink/food/energy consumption rates
- keep inventory upon death (yes i know we keep armor/runes/quest items)
- god/fly modes (for exploring hard to reach places)

and lastly i'm not sure if its just me but it feels like there is some delay or something when in combat as there have been times when being attacked or attacking and i try to block and it either doesn't register im doing that or it registers it as another attack imput, this also happens when mining ore, left click 1-2 times then pressing any other button it seems to register it as a "left click"

i mean being able to access the journal while resting never crossed my mind as i don't see a point to it since you can already access it normally ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

but what i did say was " i've come to the conclusion" and "simply just my thoughts on this" in my original post so please stop trying to "cherry pick" my words in an attempt to turn them against me, you can disagree with how i respond to comments on my post but coming in here and leaving a comment like "forgot only your ideas matter." is just trying to instigate drama

sorry but how is this fixing any of the game, your talking about spells when there is nothing wrong with them, your the one using them wrong, so u wanna use spells constantly cause that sounds lazy? that what it sounds like, more problems to the game then skills you know and i played over 115 hours.

also once the Tempest Shield is over its a 10 to 5 second cool-down, i fought velgar with a Tempest Shield and poison potion with the whip, and solo him there is nothing wrong with them while the tempest shield is vary broken it can block mostly every attack so why reduce it?

and you never played Runescape before, yes we understand this is your first Runescape adventure, from a game that's been around for 40 some what years, and taking away the dead statues been in Runescape from day 1, ppl can invade other players for pvp fights and this is why they have this method, if you don't like it, creative mode will be coming, there will be 3 modes in this game Survival, we got now, creative, and hardcore is being developed and no one understand this mode is survival so there not going to make it easy.

sorry the shield part was a mistake ment to put "(nothing to change)" next to it but clearly had something else saved to the clipboard, thanks for pointing that out i'll fix that. (edit: fixed the mistake had the fire enchant and tempest swapped)

also would like to add that since you shared how you defeated the dragon i should share how i did as well, took him out with a bow while using poison potions no shield. anyways cheers

just want to point out "this is your first Runescape adventure" is incorrect as i did play runescape though it was short lived as other mmos caught my attention at that time also last i checked runescape came out in 2001 and given that it's only 2025 you saying "from a game that's been around for 40 some what years" doesnt add up...and while i look foward to a possible creative mode i never said i didn't like the game in fact what i did say was "all in all still enjoying the game, been mostly building xD"

lastly i just want to add that my "adjustment thoughts" would not make the game easier but rather more balanced for the current available game mode....if it was hardcore then i probably wouldn't have made this discussion post to begin with...but ok

Being able to see the journal and map while resting is a good idea. I hope they add that.
