It's an Early Access Beta.
Roadmap includes fully unlocking Ranged and Magic, as well as adding Farming. We are also guaranteed to get more skills as development continues.
If you purchased the game without reading the Early Access section of the game, that is more your fault than Jagex's for releasing it unfinished, since you know.. they do say it's unfinished from the starting gate.
Probably should just pay more attention to what you're doing and you wouldn't have situations like this.
Now if you're done complaining about something dumb you did.
Why not actually give the beta a try. You got the game at a cheaper price than it's gonna be on 1.0 launch, and you have an opportunity to watch it grow and be shaped by the community. Try out what we have so far.
It literally says "early access" before you buy the game
Range and Magic are by no means "nerfed" by not being levelable right now lol. Range and Magic are actually far stronger than melee right now DESPITE not being able to be leveled. Fire Combo with magic obliterates everything and anything from a distance, while Ranged has the ability to 1-2 shot most enemies with Charged Headshots. This isn't even including a T3 bow that has the ability to stunlock groups of enemies that get too close to you.
Melee has parrying and an Abby Whip, but the only real perk of melee is having options to fight with, but to play melee efficiently you need to learn to be more precise with most of them and play the game like it's dark souls essentially. (Which isn't bad, its fun, just not overpowered compared to the other 2 styles).
The real problem is, with as strong as Magic and Ranged are now without being able to actually level them with combat, I'm more afraid of how powerful they'll be when the next update unlocks them fully.
You should probably play the game more and try it before you make posts like this.
