RuneScape: Dragonwilds

NO BASE DEFENCE
very frustrating to build in a higher lvl area to be 'hunted' or attacked by a 'warband' and watch your 'Oak" builds get one shotted with you wearing iron armour. - would love to see walls added and a repair option/hammer.
very hard to log back on after spending 5 hours building to see half of it get destroyed in less than 10 seconds.:steamthis::steamsad:

you can repair your base
why are you building everywhere instead of the safe area that Runescape basically gave us because there working on the game, js there will be lots more quests too come, a lot more stuff they will be adding, so building everywhere is not the best idea, the church you start at is the safest area to build a whole town if you wanna build, no Dragon Encounters he will fly over but wont attack, if you got a bed made there will be warbands but lvl 1s.

Hopefully they will increase the health of the base parts as well as add defences. Until them, temple grounds it is for my cottage. Don't need to build that big anyway, very few crafting stations needed anyway

Just use mods to change the features you don't like. Reduce raids, or stop them entirely. Make structures immune to damage... whatever suits your style of play.
And as Rex said: If you build in a high level area it is no wonder, that base defence is also "skill high" ... if you can't survive in a high level area: Try harder or just build at the starting arena and no dragon and only from time to time some level 1 goblins. The game gives you this options - even without mods.

EDIT Pro Tip: Just lure the warband away from your base and fight there - so they will not destroy your buildings.

Or build like this guy and use massive stone walls to your advantage - just be creative and smart and stop whining:

Nope but they are clearly stated as items in the works in the roadmap.
Go into building mode and click F to enter repair mode. I always get out of my base as soon as possible after I hear the warning sound of a warband or a hunt is about to happen. So make sure your base have a roof escape or a backdoor. I would then drink a ferocious drink, cast enchant weapon with air or fire, and casting tempest shield is also really helpful when fighting multiple enemies. You can always just teleport away if you do not feel like fighting. I do like a warband attack and not so much for the hunt because they always spawn a few tiles next to you and probably inside your building structures. I had seen a garou thane spawned inside my friend's 4 by 4 house.

Truth be told, there was no reason in releasing the game without some form of base defenses (upgraded material structures don't even count when everything is still basically walking through them).

You go into a dungeon and there's floor spikes in there. Those have to be placed with the same (or similar enough) building systems we use, with added aspects to make it harm or not harm certain entities/allow passage (apparently mobs can't walk through them atm). Why don't we have access to those other than slightly leaning towards trivializing base defense...? They didn't think of it?
They said base defenses are coming.
Build on top of ruins, and the only thing you need to do is repair your roof when the dragon pukes on it. As others have said, when you hear the dragon warning signs run away from your base, and no damage to it will occur. Or build your base in one of the two caves up on ledges, and all problems are solved. . . except the the continuous need to drink water. I made a hotkey with a timer, so I drink water every 15 seconds, which is just about right. : /
