Review and help
Ive been playing this game for about 6 hours now. I want to leave a review and also ask for some help for what Ive experienced so far.

I just unlocked the level after the swamp, a level 3 area, and cannot for the life of me understand how anyone is supposed to solo this area with whats unlocked so far. My weapon does little to no damage, the enemies wont stop chasing you even after 200m, and Im glad that your inventory doesnt disappear. However, why am I dying back to back with the best armor, weapon, and equipment that the game has to offer? In the original, I didnt mind grinding the ♥♥♥♥ out of my mining and blacksmith level to get decent armor and weapons, but in this version I dont have the option to. Im stuck with a bone axe that acts like a toy hammer when fighting a level 3 enemy. Mind you, i BARELY got through level 2 areas with the best equipment available.

TLDR: So far Im having issues with game balance and I need some pointers or tips on how anyone got past level 3 without needing to set up base right next door and treat the dungeon like a dungeon crawler. Am I missing something?

I feel there are quite a few areas that need some tuning. I can't adventure with out a ton of food and water and can't do that cause the carry weight is so low and there is not a lot of bag space. this game would be better with changing just those three things. 1. Make eating timer slower either as you level your cooking or just in general or both. or making it possible for the creator of server able to change to settings they think is tolerable. the fact that after every few feet or if it is every few minutes it is not enough to enjoy the game. bag space is second thing even if you are carrying light stuff you can't carry much. give bag slots and ability to make bags or as you level crafting get more slots would make it more enjoyable.
bring potions and wardstones. get ready to fortnite craft up some quickwalls for the archers. make a few bases along the way and farm dungeons for quick loadstone access to new areas.
Armor is definitely an issue. I've found that mixing pieces for the best mitigation of what I'm doing and where I'm going is more important than trying to get "set bonuses". I'm still working out what is best for me, so I can't really offer any suggestions for you. Just don't be afraid to split sets (you still get bonuses for 1, 2 or 3 pieces).

As for your weapon... In the Level 3 area there is tin and copper. Go grind some of these and combine them to make Bronze in the furnace. Make bronze weapons (personally, I used the bronze mace). It will be better than your bone axe.

This is one of those games where you have to actually poke your head into the next level area to get the resources necessary to survive the area. I do wish the progression was more like getting resources to survive the *next* level, but it's just not.
In my experience, I haven't had much issue with enemies except relentless melee ones towards the start of each tier. My personal advice would be to play stealthily until you get T3 or higher gear to help survive. Once you've gotten T4 gear, most things fall apart to you in this game.
I will also give you some geo help.
Don't be afraid to set up a base at the entrance of the Fracture plains. It is a small spot, it only sometimes has enemies pass through, and the cliff on the right side near the chasm goes up to mines that lead to the central mountain, littered with copper and tin.
Also make good use of spells like Tempest Shield, and Enchant Air for quick attacks (my fav), or Enchant Fire to add burning to your opponents.
