Eat and Drink WAY too often
Hey so not sure if there’s anything to negate this but I am sick of needing to focus more on eating and drinking nonstop than actual adventuring.
The eat drink mechanic needs some attending to, games that make it more focused on eating and drinking make me only think about getting water and food over having fun adventure and exploring.

What you don't need 80 gallons of water and 80 steaks a day to live and have the stamina to work?

Change it with a mod, like everyone else.

It does need some serious tweaking. Though that being said, most survival games with food / drinking mechanics, seem to get that balance out of kilter, not sure why. I can understand they try to add a sense of urgency, and for drinking I can understand that hydration is important but having to eat constantly.

It sort of "solved" itself when I hit fractured plains simply because there are 2 metric tons of berries, so I always have a stack of 20 berries with me and always pick up some more when I pass through.

having food/drink ig fine. but should auto eat when hungry.
Yes, autoeat ... or just let it be. Eat and drink makes only sense in a survival game, when it is difficult to get - and you can easily starve if you don't care. But you can in RS for example click-click-click ... and have tons of water in some seconds. No challenge, just time consuming.

So drinking is only an annoying chore consuming time without game fun, if there is no challenge to get some drink.
I am so addicted to grilled meat and redberry infusions... apparently.

I am running T2 foods and waters, not much of an issue for me now!

Eating and drinking are part of the game, it warns you when you hit 25, so eat or drink then

in sotf you gotta eat nearly same times a day, but hunger and thirst affects your stamina SO BAD that it becomes nearly impossible to play. yeah i understand that these are completely different games but survival is survival

i know, what im trying to say is that this game hunger mechanics are pretty easy compared to forest, and not eating at the right time is not giving such an asspain to compare about it

totally agree, this is the only problem. not sure if i wanted it to be harder, but they could add different types of complication, like hardcore or smth
