I would agree!
It really doesn't. For one we don't need auto-pathing, this isn't an MMO, this is a Survival Crafter. Learn to walk on your own.
Second, the World Map itself is plenty fine. It takes 1 button press to look at it, and 1 button press to put it away. The closest I would agree to for this kind of game is maybe a compass of some kind to tell which direction is which without the map, but even then, the Map does that for us too.

We already have a compass at the top of our screen.

Did i mention an auto walk feature no i did not what are you smoking i prefer a mini map and technically it is an MMORPG survival crafting game it’s RuneScape just with survival crafting mechanics what part of that do you not understand? Don’t just give it a broad generalization you need to to call it what it is. Maybe to you it’s not an MMO because you don’t play online. You just play by yourself so maybe to you it’s not. And if old RuneScape and RuneScape 3 have a mini map. I don’t see why this runescape shouldn’t.its not RuneScape without a mini map and aint nothing gonna change my mind about it so if you disagree you could just leave some people don’t like the compass mechanic so who are you to judge me for that hell even in the army, they use maps and I like to see where I’m going. I shouldn’t have to press a button every time I wanna do that and they can make an optional feature meaning you don’t even have to use it. Must be one of those elitist players who think they’re better than everybody else I think they’re hard-core. Fake alpha ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

No I meant the RuneScape compass lol uh. Sorry wrong word, Sextant. I was wanting to like do the whole "map your coordinates" thing like they did for Treasure Trails, but the map makes that pointless.

My dude You said "Gps pathing" which is another phrase for "auto-pathing".
I wasn't rude to you, you offered up an opinion and I offered up my own in response. If you can't handle that without making a wall of insults then maybe you should refrain from posting here.
You didn’t offer up an opinion you called me lazy do you not pay attention to what you say

"Lazy" isn't even a word I used lol. I said walk on your own, because you said "gps-pathing" which is another word for "auto-pathing". Do you not pay attention to what you say? Or anyone for that matter?

This guy you didn’t have to use the word lazy exactly I know what the statement meant. Just say what you mean next time then if you wanna avoid this conversation in the future, instead of hiding behind, clever little phrases to hide your insults. You’re a pretty judgmental over a small suggestion that wouldn’t even have affected you in it in the first place. But I get it. I guess you wanna look and portray yourself as an alpha lotta fake strong men go with that routine. I don’t know why you’re so against the mini man that wouldn’t even affect you.

I sort of disagree on this. Peter Molyneux said once that he was against minimaps, because it ended up that you played through that instead of looking at the world around you. And I sort of agree with that statement. I think that in many regards, minimaps detract from looking around you.

That's just my opinion, I don't use minimaps myself when they can be avoided. The minimap in RS3 and OSRS sort of has a function since it's tied to your movement and it's a top-down camera style so you don't get to see much of the world anyway.

If I wanted to call you lazy, I would call you lazy directly.
But since you want me to be more direct, you're a snowflake. lol
You offer an opinion, and don't want anything that disagrees with you in return.
You also turn something around on someone else, when you are called out. You still haven't addressed the fact that you lied and said you didn't say anything about auto-pathing, even after I told you gps-pathing means the same thing.
You wish me to say what I mean? You're far too sensitive if you cannot handle someone telling you to walk, and immediately jump to thinking someone's insulting you off the bat. Take a step back, relax, and stop jumping the trigger.

I mean I'm fine dude. Nothing's wrong with me, you're the one getting defensive lol, *over a suggestion* as you said haha.
Also if you think I'm portraying alpha energy, I'm flattered because I'm not even trying to portray anything except fairness. But it's nice to know you think I have alpha energy. I've always thought myself pretty passive.

By the way, I'm female. I don't have a penis. Probably could've figured that out on your own if you took a moment to think but I'll forgive it, a lot of people assume male first because apparently "women don't play games". *rolls eyes*
Fairness? What fairness you insulted me over a small suggestion over a mini mat with basic features like most games have even old RuneScape has a mini map what’s unfair about having a mini map in the game?
You think I insulted you because I said "Learn to walk" over you saying "Gps-pathing". I didn't insult you, but if you think that was an insult, you're proving my point of being a snowflake. Sorry, if you think it was an insult, but I stand by what I said.

Let me elaborate more on what I meant, because I thought that I wouldn't need to.
It's a survival crafter, not an MMORPG. It's only RuneScape in Theme and name alone. It does not strive to be anything like it's predecessors beyond that. Even Jagex's Mods have said that. So saying "Because Runescape has it!" is a trash reason and argument. I can say we should add massive overpowered dinosaurs to the game, because it's a Survival Crafter like ARK, but tell me does that make sense to you? A fantastical medieval world about magic and dragons, and I suggest to add dinosaurs to the game because it is in the same genre of games as ARK? No it wouldn't make sense, and that's the logic you use when saying "Because Runescape has it!"

Now why do I think a minimap (whether you have autopathing or not) isn't a great idea?
Because these kinds of games are meant to challenge you, in all aspects it provides. Including navigation. As someone else point out a good note earlier, these games are meant to be explored in its fullest. If you're too busy navigating via watching a minimap instead of the surroundings, how can anyone expect you to enjoy the game for what it is: a beautiful world with lots of impressive details that you could easily miss by watching a minimap constantly. You are better off learning the surroundings with your own eyes, and be happy you are given a map to help you. It's the bare minimum for a Survival Crafter

If you've ever played a game called Planet Crafter, they don't even give you a map to help you. You have to MAKE a map yourself via satellites and GPS chips later in the game after you've already spent hours playing and learning the world you're trapped on. Be happy RSDW gives you a map that actually informs you and helps you navigate. Something tells me you wouldn't like Planet Crafter because of that, but I assure you if you get past that, the game is amazing, as is Dragonwilds because of its own unique spins on everything we know and love about RuneScape and the Survival Crafter genre.

And let me add to your edit. Let me teach you something your momma didn't teach you.
If you can't take criticism, or someone else's opinion being different than yours at mininum, then don't offer your own. Because if you can't handle other people thinking or being different than you, then you are too soft and can't handle the real world. You are still just a kid in mindset. Grow up and grow a backbone lol

I disagree there is nothing you can say or do to prove to me that it should not have a mini map if I want to use a mini map that is my right to use a mini map and as I already said. I have eye issues that makes it difficult to use the compass so again I think you’re being a little insensitive, but as you’ve already proven, you don’t care about none of that stuff you don’t care about people with disabilities and all that visual impairment, physical impairment you probably don’t care about none of that ♥♥♥♥ I should be able to enjoy the game how I want if I paid money for it and includes using a mini map now if you don’t agree with that, you are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ free to keep moving and going to other posts that you do agree with instead of continuing your tiresome argument with me do you really have nothing better to do with your time probably not as you’ll just go ahead and give another response keeping your argument going go ahead prove me right plenty other games. I play just like this one. They have mini maps and they don’t ruin the enjoyment of the game at all for me. And I still get to explore the map too. so that just proves that your map exploration argument is not a valid one again not a valid one. So just keep it moving cause I’m not gonna fold for you or for any ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ body else. My opinion will remain the same. Who are are you to dictate how I get to enjoy a game I paid for or what I get to suggest them to add didn’t know this was Nazi Germany. I didn’t know you were Hitler my bad What gives you the right to do that? Probably a Trump supporter that would make a lot of sense to me right now. If you are, that would explain your whole personality right now.

No you're right, I don't care about your disabilities because I don't know you. You're free to your opinion, and I never said you weren't. You're free to believe and think as you will and I respect that. But I don't have to care about you, or your problems. I also don't have to care about your opinion. I don't have to care about what you do with your money, or what you take of my responses. So you're right, I don't care lol.
I gave my opinion, because you offered your own, and just like you I have a right to post here as much as you do. You also don't have to care about mine, nor do I expect you to.
I did not respond in attempts to argue. I responded because I disagreed with your suggestion. You're the one who took it as an insult, even though my wording was probably as mild as black pepper at best. You keep saying that I could've chosen not to respond, chosen to scroll on, but think about how you chose to react to someone saying "Learn to walk" in a video game. Imagine getting defensive for someone having a mildly different opinion than you over a game we no doubt both enjoy.
You can continue to be offended if you wish. I'm just going to note that this whole time I've been calm despite your attempts to actually insult me, and still have chosen not to insult you further than calling you a snowflake. The fact that you are literally going as far as prejudice and political trash talk which has no place here, proves my point. lol If you're ready to chill out (like a real snowflake and not one of these fake ones online), then maybe we can have an actual conversation hmm?
