Second, the World Map itself is plenty fine. It takes 1 button press to look at it, and 1 button press to put it away. The closest I would agree to for this kind of game is maybe a compass of some kind to tell which direction is which without the map, but even then, the Map does that for us too.
We already have a compass at the top of our screen.
No I meant the RuneScape compass lol uh. Sorry wrong word, Sextant. I was wanting to like do the whole "map your coordinates" thing like they did for Treasure Trails, but the map makes that pointless.
"Lazy" isn't even a word I used lol. I said walk on your own, because you said "gps-pathing" which is another word for "auto-pathing". Do you not pay attention to what you say? Or anyone for that matter?
That's just my opinion, I don't use minimaps myself when they can be avoided. The minimap in RS3 and OSRS sort of has a function since it's tied to your movement and it's a top-down camera style so you don't get to see much of the world anyway.
But since you want me to be more direct, you're a snowflake. lol
You offer an opinion, and don't want anything that disagrees with you in return.
You also turn something around on someone else, when you are called out. You still haven't addressed the fact that you lied and said you didn't say anything about auto-pathing, even after I told you gps-pathing means the same thing.
You wish me to say what I mean? You're far too sensitive if you cannot handle someone telling you to walk, and immediately jump to thinking someone's insulting you off the bat. Take a step back, relax, and stop jumping the trigger.
Let me elaborate more on what I meant, because I thought that I wouldn't need to.
It's a survival crafter, not an MMORPG. It's only RuneScape in Theme and name alone. It does not strive to be anything like it's predecessors beyond that. Even Jagex's Mods have said that. So saying "Because Runescape has it!" is a trash reason and argument. I can say we should add massive overpowered dinosaurs to the game, because it's a Survival Crafter like ARK, but tell me does that make sense to you? A fantastical medieval world about magic and dragons, and I suggest to add dinosaurs to the game because it is in the same genre of games as ARK? No it wouldn't make sense, and that's the logic you use when saying "Because Runescape has it!"
Now why do I think a minimap (whether you have autopathing or not) isn't a great idea?
Because these kinds of games are meant to challenge you, in all aspects it provides. Including navigation. As someone else point out a good note earlier, these games are meant to be explored in its fullest. If you're too busy navigating via watching a minimap instead of the surroundings, how can anyone expect you to enjoy the game for what it is: a beautiful world with lots of impressive details that you could easily miss by watching a minimap constantly. You are better off learning the surroundings with your own eyes, and be happy you are given a map to help you. It's the bare minimum for a Survival Crafter
If you've ever played a game called Planet Crafter, they don't even give you a map to help you. You have to MAKE a map yourself via satellites and GPS chips later in the game after you've already spent hours playing and learning the world you're trapped on. Be happy RSDW gives you a map that actually informs you and helps you navigate. Something tells me you wouldn't like Planet Crafter because of that, but I assure you if you get past that, the game is amazing, as is Dragonwilds because of its own unique spins on everything we know and love about RuneScape and the Survival Crafter genre.
And let me add to your edit. Let me teach you something your momma didn't teach you.
If you can't take criticism, or someone else's opinion being different than yours at mininum, then don't offer your own. Because if you can't handle other people thinking or being different than you, then you are too soft and can't handle the real world. You are still just a kid in mindset. Grow up and grow a backbone lol
No you're right, I don't care about your disabilities because I don't know you. You're free to your opinion, and I never said you weren't. You're free to believe and think as you will and I respect that. But I don't have to care about you, or your problems. I also don't have to care about your opinion. I don't have to care about what you do with your money, or what you take of my responses. So you're right, I don't care lol.
I gave my opinion, because you offered your own, and just like you I have a right to post here as much as you do. You also don't have to care about mine, nor do I expect you to.
I did not respond in attempts to argue. I responded because I disagreed with your suggestion. You're the one who took it as an insult, even though my wording was probably as mild as black pepper at best. You keep saying that I could've chosen not to respond, chosen to scroll on, but think about how you chose to react to someone saying "Learn to walk" in a video game. Imagine getting defensive for someone having a mildly different opinion than you over a game we no doubt both enjoy.
You can continue to be offended if you wish. I'm just going to note that this whole time I've been calm despite your attempts to actually insult me, and still have chosen not to insult you further than calling you a snowflake. The fact that you are literally going as far as prejudice and political trash talk which has no place here, proves my point. lol If you're ready to chill out (like a real snowflake and not one of these fake ones online), then maybe we can have an actual conversation hmm?
