So I believe there will be the other metals as we go along, as well as more skills.
Mithril and beyond are a ways off. There was a poll on the Discord asking if we wanted Steel or Mithril to be the next armor (basically asking if we wanted to skip steel entirely or include it; mithril will happen either way). So far it looks like players want steel to be next since that's the traditional sequence for RS (approx. 2/3 of people have voted to not skip steel, so that'll be next). Magic is coming in the 0.8 update as well as a couple of skill spells and other stuff that hasn't been specified yet.
This is nothing Runescape special? Adamant and Mithril are part of Lord of the Rings (Tolkien invented the word MIthril for example) ... and even World of Warcraft ;)
Hello @everyone!
We've got a few updates to share: Firstly, patch notes for the next update are here 🚩・announcements
Beyond that, we're hard at work towards our 0.8 Update, which includes the Magic Skill Tree being unlocked, XP Progression and two Skill Spells, as well as a lot of other things we'll share more info about soon.
But beyond that, we're looking at our largest content update of the Early Access Roadmap: Fellhollow. Now, when Fellhollow eventually launches, we originally planned to unlock one more tier of gear for you all to craft and level up with:
Mithril.
Traditionally, Steel would be next, but our team think it's quite similar to Iron in feel. So, we want to run it by you, the players.
Should we stay on the classic RuneScape progression path with Steel THEN Mithril, or skip Steel and move directly onto Mithril?
This ONLY affects whether Steel would be included as a progression step. Mithril is happening no matter what. It just decides whether we have parity with the other RuneScape games to have Steel armour too."
