RuneScape: Dragonwilds

RuneScape: Dragonwilds

PLEASE increase integrity of base parts
The changes to the rest of the balance are a nice step forward, but no matter how often you nerf, or tweak the raids, dragon attacks, etc. it won't be worth building ever if your building blocks get instantly deleted with 1 tap by mobs, especially for those who play solo.

It's also excessively annoying to have to spend so much time rebuilding before another attack happens, even with the slower attacks it can start to get very repetitive and irritating.

Please consider adding in a "ghost mode" for destroyed blocks by raids, etc. so we can quickly rebuild and dont have to try to remember exactly how we tweaked together certain pieces and roofing pieces to make it fit together.

(I had a really nice looking interior/roof pieces I kind of shimmied and put together, using both advanced, and free form building/setting it all up, but after 4 days of not playing, it got destroyed in a raid, and I couldn't figure it out agian after 40 minutes of trying... (I got very close, but just couldn't replicate it completely))

^THIS^
Yeah! Log outer wall plz and at least spike barrier. And stone foundations.
Honestly I do not take this as a big problem bc its an early access. The fun is to figure out a work-around until something is done with it.
Btw, its not a race, don't worry if other ppl claim they've done everything in 20 hours,

Have fun
Love these suggestions, they would make such a big difference. I also wish there was something in settings to just turn off raids. I enjoy and see the purpose in combat in the wild, but a home base really should (imo) be a place to relax and recoup. I don't want raids removed, I just think making them optional would make the game more fun for more types of players.

For now I enable or disable the mod that removes them. When I'm building, or just want to build, I turn it off.

I'd rather keep them on, but its not worth it if my base gets 1 tapped repeatedly.

+1
I'm confused. Dragon doesn't damage your buildings, and warbands/hunts only attack your base if you're inside it. How are you having to rebuild your base after every attack? I've had to rebuild a base one time and it was because a friend rested in his bedroll and then went afk and the warband made a beeline for him. If you leave your building(s) when you see the warband/hunt announcement, you should never have a problem with your stuff being destroyed.

Have you considered: Fighting them outside of your base, or, building tier 2 walls, etc?
I fight them alll the time, but whats the point of having T1, if T1 does not protect anything?

have you considered, it's still a problem either way and should be adjusted?

lucky you, but not my experience.

No because I haven't had to rebuild more than a couple walls with over 20 hours in solo. Have you considered you may be the problem? There's already a solution in-game.

Yeah. I've gotten to a point where I have to have a base and my word are the raids rage inducing annoyance.

Its an unskippable ad on an phone game. Please play our awesome game. But we're gonna make you stop playing it every so often and force you to do something else. And if you don't? We're gonna punish you!

I see there are a lot of people in this thread that have not really played survival games. This one is among a few of the most forgiving in these aspects. I suppose a lot of people complained about raptors destroying their bases in ARK, but after a couple weeks everyone figured out how to get stone bases built quickly which trivialized that challenge, and the complaints became a rarity.

You know you can build extra of the weak walls if you insist on continuing to use them over the tier 2? You can also build in the safe area near the church, which has a lodestone in it. You should only get hunted here not raided.

It's a survival game. The idea is the game throws challenges out you, and you're supposed to survive them, not complain about them.

Nobody is saying to take away the challenge, or that the walls shouldn't be breakable, just so they aren't 1 shot.. So that if I wake up to a raid, and have to go down 3 flights of stairs that my bottom level hasn't been half destroyed.

Have you ever stopped to consider that maybe the way you play, isn't how everyone plays?

Have you ever stopped to consider, that maybe other people have more complex builds?

Have you ever stopped to consider, that MAYBE increasing it so 2-4 hits are required instead of 1 would do NOTHING to jeapordize your own enjoyment of the game, but owuld increase others...

And MAYBE have you considered, that because of the above points, you have absolutely no skin in this discussion, and have no reason to be argueing against it?

Seriously, you act like them slightly increasing the durability of tier 1 walls will somehow lower your enjoyment, or experience in the game.. It's literally a number they change in their code.. It takes all but a few minutes for a dev to do.

Kindly... stop freaking out about this, and argueing over something that literally doesn't effect you in anyway shape or form.
