RuneScape: Dragonwilds

Experiencing public servers. My diary.
Having maxed out all my skills and gotten everything I could in the game, I was left with only two options - building and public servers. Since building is not very good for me, I decided to see how public servers work. I wrote down my observations, so I got a kind of diary. I hope my notes will help someone draw certain conclusions about this whole adventure with servers.
-------------------------------------------

Journal entry #1.
I have seen and continue to see many discussions about how someone made their world public and people came to them, dismantled their house and stole equipment. I created a separate empty world and began to observe what would happen. Several people came in, they were mostly silent even if you said hello to them and soon left. One of them behaved rather strangely - he walked with an encumbrance, tried to attack and collect everything he saw, his movements were as if mechanical. Could it really be a bot? However, he also disappeared rather quickly.

Journal entry #2.
I entered a world, there was a house next to a church on the edge of a cliff. I walked and jumped around there for a bit, and suddenly the host started to destroy the floor under me so that I would fall into the ocean, but I was quicker. Apparently, he wanted to kill me and take my stuff. When that didn't work, the world just closed. Maybe the host left the game.

Journal entry #3.
I entered another world. It seemed to me that the host's name was written in translit (a Russian word in English letters). I greeted him in English and Russian. They wrote "no russians" to me and kicked me from the server. Rude. Discrimination based on nationality should not exist. Just imagine yourself in my place.

Journal entry #4.
I entered another world. There were several newbies running around there. After some time, the host realized that this was a public lobby and wanted to move the world to the friends section. He offered to add me as a friend on Steam, but I politely declined, for which I was kicked. I have no complaints here, but it's still strange why you created a public lobby without a password if you only want to play with friends.

Journal entry #5.
I opened a separate empty world again. Few people came in. One person said that he walked through worlds, where he was killed and robbed while dismantling the house underneath him or putting a lodestone in a dangerous place. Another one came, completely naked. He said that he was a newbie, and before playing in his world, he decided to walk around others to see the game where he was killed and robbed, then he put everything in a box, including armor. When no one was there, one more came in for the last time. For some reason, he broke two fragments of the wall that I just built next to the church, checked the containers and ran towards the destroyed village without saying a word. I didn't want to waste my time or his and turned off the world, there was nothing waiting for him there anyway.

Journal entry #6.
I visited one of the strangest worlds. The host somehow managed to get under the textures, where deep underground he began to build. There is a lot of free space and stability seems to have no place. It is quite strange to see grass, rocks, animals and other things hovering over your head, as if on the surface of the water when you dive deep. I suppose it is not cheating if the game allows you to get under the textures yourself. But what I saw made me think that the game lacks spacious flat areas for building and creativity, like, for example, in the original Runescape.

Journal entry #7.
This time I wanted to try worlds with friendly fire. I set off, leaving all the items at home except for the armor, which is not lost after death. In the first world I was killed at the door of the church. In the second, right on the lodestone. In the third world, the host warned me that PvP was enabled to kill griefers. I expressed surprise that I wasn't killed right on the lodestone. Then he ran up, killed me and kicked me from the server. Interesting. In the fourth world, I was kicked for refusing to fight, I just wanted to watch others fight. I think that's enough of this senselessness for today.

Journal entry #8.
I visited a world with a lot of interesting buildings. It was quite useful to explore them, getting inspiration and construction techniques. Also, some person came in and started to dismantle these buildings all in a row. The host didn't even stop him, he said that he had a backup. Smart move. While dismantling the buildings, that person didn't even notice that one was in such an interesting place near the cliff, into which he immediately fell and died. Another clever move, a trap as punishment. However, it didn't stop that person, he passed through like a hurricane, leaving only logs in place of houses. Strange behavior, very childish. It's like crushing sand cakes in a sandbox. And the host really did restore everything via backup. I think that since there are no cloud saves in the game, this is the only way not only to save your characters and worlds when changing or reinstalling the device, but also to restore any property lost for any reason.
