RuneScape: Dragonwilds

RuneScape: Dragonwilds

Systems need to be adjusted
First I gotta say, I have played numerous other survival/crafting/open world games (aloft, enshrouded, valheim, etc etc) like this (as i imagine many of us have). So I am bought in to there needing to be a kind of struggle to keep the player engaged, and im not some noob that just wants to take the easy route. I like the crafting/cooking/hunger/thirst systems, and needing to prep before some fights and whatnot.

But to me, there are two glaring glaring issues when playing this game. First one is stamina. having what seems like no real way to increase it or minimize the costs makes fighs against more than 1 enemy almost unplayable at times. Stamina depletes too quickly, and that 2-3 seconds it takes to start recharging is too long. Second issue is carry weight. Again, while I buy into the player needing a bit of a struggle, I don't really love not being able to fully loot a dungeon. carrying tools, water, food, weapons, and armor take up ~150 lbs alone. A dungeon has 3 cores (150), and that leaves you with 100 weight for the rest of the loot in there. Maybe there is a strategy to carry load management that I dont get. But it is extremely frustrating to have to drop/dismantle basically half my loot to be able to walk/run.

Couple this with me walking to/from my base, I dont have any room for plants, animal parts, resources, or basically anything. A lot of games have this problem, and its no big secret that usually the top 5 most downloaded mod for every open world exploration/adventure game is one that increases carry load.

I have really enjoyed this game so far, the magic wheel is sick and im pretty engaged most of the time. I just think stamina and carry load are wayyyy too punishing.

You should, theoretically at least, leave every dungeon with enough resources to teleport home. With the open nature of the game allowing for "teleport wherever you want" to be the core experience, I haven't been having the same issues.

Try dropping more lodestones?
Ctrl + 'S'+'S'+'S' (Actually Ctrl + Ctrl + Ctrl will no the same evade). Many times it work with Ctrl + 'W'+'W'+'W'. Most times the problems you have is bc you push to hard in combat, make a short retreat for every 2-5 strikes.
