RuneScape: Dragonwilds

RuneScape: Dragonwilds

Please don’t release a “creative mode"- Stay wild!
One of the greatest strengths of Dragonwilds lies in its survival mechanics, progression system, and sense of danger. Introducing a creative mode would completely break the balance and immersion that make the game so engaging.

The thrill of exploring unknown lands, managing resources, and surviving deadly encounters is what gives Dragonwilds its identity. A creative mode would risk trivializing all of that turning a game of challenge and adventure into something passive and unrewarding.

If players can instantly access all items or bypass key gameplay elements, the game loses its purpose and replay value. Dragonwilds doesn’t need shortcuts. It needs mystery, challenge, and earned victories.

Let the game stay wild!

Creative mode will be a World option, making the world peaceful for builders. It probably would also be locked so you can't change between them after the world is made. Either way it's nothing to bother you lol If you don't want to use creative, then don't.

Why would you care how other people play the game?

it's just trashy rage bait
Solution for the devs: Make achievements Survival only.

Solution for you: Just don't play creative mode.

more options = more players buying the game, if u are stuck to a style then yep, but its up to u not to play creative, that`s it, odd post by the way and yes, everyone to there own thing

This and only having the 2 modes with no sliders or additional options. Creative mode purely just for being well, creative.

Not really. Sliders and option boxes limit the scope of what the game can have within it. The less options the more depth the game can have. Even a creative mode can cause issues. If they just do a half assed creative mode with enemies disabled and unlimited resources that wouldn't take any dev time away though. As long as achievements are disabled it'd be fine.

If you guys want the game ruined scope wise to where they'll be severely limited in the logic and physics that can be in the game then yeah. Have at it, ask for all the stupid sliders and checkboxes you can dream of and they'll ruin it just like it ruined every other survival game with these "features". "Features" that force the player to design and balance the game themselves with severely limited tools. Instead of the developer making a thoughtful well crafted experience for the player.

Cause a worse game means a better game apparently.

More options is never a bad thing for people. I already finished everything currently in Early Access and enjoyed it but others may get more fun out of creative in the future.

Stop trying to be a gatekeeper for others.

Yes to creative mode and as many sliders/options as possible. That way folks can play how they want since it does not effect the scope or performance of the game to add options..... the more options the better!
Blocked the op.

Why do people still fuzz over an option a game has or going to have?? dude really you don't like the option don't use it, how bloody hard can that be.
imagine growing up and not liking sprouts, so you go they should ban sprouts all over for everyone, i do NOT LIKE EM. man grow up, and learn to not use an option.

You know what an option is?

Well, that means: You can play wild, with sense of danger and nothing break your immersion. Nothing will change for you. You will never notice during your gameplay that other players play in creative mode.

On the other side: Players who have fun just build beautiful houses and decorate them, also can have fun.

So win-win ... if not someone make a topic with: Only my kind of playing shoukd be supported.

Because it limits what games can have in them if it's pushed to far.

A little creative mode with no achievements is fine. But when you start doing "world options" like sliders and check boxes it limits the scope of what possible in the game.

what has a creative mode have to do with achievements, are you one of them that need to have all the achievements and have more then someone else? seriously its a game, achievements should come by naturally.
and what limit of scope are you talking about? its a single player you should not be concerned how other people player their single player games. don't like an option, don't use it. plain and simple.

If it is just another option and don't touch the original game - what are the limits then?

Many survival-crafting games have MANY game modes. From "normal" to "creative" to "hardcore with permadeath" ... so everybody has his niche ... and no one ist limited in his mode?

i feel like gamers are getting more and more "drone-ifyed", i bet some of them don't know what "Options" mean, i swear true gamers are a die'ing breed
